Techniques Replicating Hand Knit Stitches on Machine

I am interested in learning more about hand manipulating stitches on my machines. Is there a resource that covers recreating stitches like double seed, box stitch, etc.? The books I own don't have the exact info I am looking for, and I am beginning to think it isn't really possible.

Susan Guagliumi has work on this topic here is one of her books Hand Manipulated Stitches for Machine Knitters.

Any stitches that alternate rows of knit and rows of purl are possible but tedious.

Seed stitches involve changing individual stitches from knits to purls. They are incredibly tedious hand manipulations.

One way to improve it is to drop a full column, then hook it back up with a seed stitch tool. But making a few rows wide of seed stitch means touching every single stitch in your bed.

I would see if you can redesign the pattern to avoid it.

If you wanted all over double seed and you have a Brother 8xx or 9xx, a garter carriage can make this pattern for you automatically.

I've never heard of a seed stitch tool, is that a thing?

It has latches on both sides, but I’ve still found it difficult to use.

I think one of these might have come with my KH-836 and I just didn't know what it was. Neat.
