Help hooping a softshell jacket

I have a brother Skitch and the magnetic hoop isn’t strong enough to go all the way through this thicker softshell jacket.
I’d float it and pin it but then it’ll leave pin marks..
Can I use binder clips to keep it taught against the hoop?
I’ve already ruined a jacket so 🥴

Can you not just put it in a regular hoop? If the magnetic hoop won’t work and you can’t hoop it, give it back to the customer and tell them you can’t do it. You may be able to use sticky stabilizer and make it work but I don’t recommend it if you’re not confident.

Because a switch is not comparable with a regular hoop. The project is for myself

You can try hooping sticky stabilizer or spray some adhesive onto tear away stabilizer and see how it goes. I’m not familiar with that machine though.

I’m worried the spray adhesive will make the fleecy tacky. Is that a risk? Lol

If it's just one color and a simple design sticky stabilize it. If not I would send it off as to not mess up anymore.

Use the jacket you already ruined for the test. Make sure your digitizing is on point and it shouldn't be a problem

Luckily it was an $18 Amazon jacket which is acrually quite nice 😬
