FRANCHISE Draft logic is broken
Ok I just finished season 1 of my franchise and most of offseason. Why is the draft logic so bugged? Carolina and Houston drafted top 15 quarterbacks in the draft. For why? Both there current starters (young and stroud) have QB of the future tags? There is also only about a two overall rating point difference between the two.

The thing that gets me is CPU will list team needs , most teams wonât draft anyone thy had need for

Were they by chance injured? If so, the game treats them as not existing. Not that Madden wouldn't have these teams draft QBs regardless, though.

I mean if there's a good QB in the top 15 and my qb is one of those two I'm probably taking a QB too.
I'm more annoyed by the lack of QBs going 1OA.

Itâs not about personally believing Young is the QB of the future. The game has him labeled as such and still the draft âlogicâ ignores that to draft another QB.
And thatâs hardly the only broken draft logic that exists, theyâll draft multiple QBs in the first 5 picks if they have the chance. Theyâll trade you the number one pick for the number 10 pick. Franchises are ruined by season 3 because of how shitty the CPU teams handle the draft.

Both of those QBs are on the bubble IRL. Not sure why you think itâs bad logic. I agree they take QBs too often but this isnât a good example lol.

The issue is they both have the QB of the future tag, which should prevent the CPU from drafting a QB. Neither of them should have that tag, but since they do, the CPU shouldnât take a QB. This is actually a great example.

So the computer just ignores stats drafting but not when trades apply? Alrighty.

How well did Young and Stroud play in-season? The draft/CPU GM logic is far from perfect, but seems to be more stat-based than ratings based

How dare you accuse Madden of having logic!
