Girls will be friends with anything. I can prove it, one was friends with me once.

Was she this young and running from you too?

Lol. Ouch! No, we were the same age and she voluntarily married me. She eventually corrected that mistake though. 😭

u/highcloudflare Jun 28 '26

I'm sorry but the way you sentenced it made me laugh

u/MeansWelll Jun 28 '26

It's okay, some mistakes are like art pieces people eventually come back to admire

11

u/ihavea_purplenurple Jun 28 '26

And people ask me why hung my pants on the wall after visiting that shady restaurant down the street. To admire the mistakes I'd made

My friend, self-burn is too brutal.

Fucking savages

At least you’re able to be cynical, that’s worth something :)

Thank you. You have me laughing out loud right now. I appreciate your lovely anecdote and also the comment giving you a little bit of a hard time and you're also very nice response. Bravo!! :) y'all made my day.

Edit, my apologies for the sad finishing to that.

2

u/J0RR3L Jun 29 '26

You're taking me on a rollercoaster here, man

2

u/ModernManuh_ Jun 29 '26

1

u/Honest-Apricot6086 Jun 29 '26

☹️ no, we are just x's now.

2

u/ModernManuh_ Jun 29 '26

1

u/OlliBear Jun 28 '26

He’s a prickly character and his shit smells like coffee.

70

u/KittenIttle Jun 28 '26

I had a raccoon, coyote, and a deer.

56

u/Omee_172 Jun 28 '26

Holy shit snow white

6

u/ButDidYouCry Jun 28 '26

Sneewittchen Americana: where the woodland creatures are slightly more feral and definitely root through your trash.

6

u/KittenIttle Jun 28 '26

I’m from way down in the Appalachian mountains- I had loads more. Couldn’t call all of them by singing though :( I miss having snakes, not allowed in NZ.

2

u/meop93 Jun 28 '26

Damn Appalachia to NZ what a wild life

3

u/KittenIttle Jun 28 '26

It is the one thing I’m grateful to World of Warcraft for. Met a guild, liked them. Kinda hated where I was at and fast tracked it about a decade ago. Exactly a decade ago. Best choice I ever made.

1

u/DazzlingRing1423 Jul 01 '26

Currently hating it here in WNC.

u/purple_spikey_dragon Jun 28 '26

I had rats, ducks, chickens... oh and my siblings

14

u/MasterBot98 Jun 28 '26 edited Jun 28 '26

Let me guess, rats behaved better than other groups.

14

u/purple_spikey_dragon Jun 28 '26

Except for one who escaped the cage and tried to climb into my mouth in the middle of the night, yes! Definitely yes

5

u/MasterBot98 Jun 28 '26

Hm...was it looking for a warm place or was it being a jackass...

12

u/purple_spikey_dragon Jun 28 '26

She was probably trying to steal food from the last place she saw me put it in. She simply didn't count with the possibility of me digesting it, between dinner and going to bed.

10

u/n3o7 Jun 28 '26

I had mice and roaches

4

u/KittenIttle Jun 28 '26

I had those too. I worked a farm and we lived in a trailer on the property. But I had loads of animal friends. I do miss the horses (they belonged to the owners) but there’s a lot I don’t miss.

2

u/SweetCaregiver2108 Jun 28 '26

And now we have Cinderella 😭🙏🙏🙏

3

u/purple_spikey_dragon Jun 28 '26

I had rats, ducks, chickens... oh and my siblings

2

u/Honest-Apricot6086 Jun 29 '26

You were practically one with nature from the sound of it.

2

u/KittenIttle Jun 30 '26

Haha always have been. If I listed everything we’d be here all day. My favorites though were my Boa Princess Diana (she was my best friend since I was three- she was 9.5 feet long and would curl up and I would sit in her little coil), my sugar gliders Harley and Quinn, my lil ball python Davey, Scrooge McDuck (raccoon), and of course Lillian the squirrel. Oh and my crows.

I do miss the animals of the US more than anything. I love NZ but yeah not a lot of variety in species.

ETA: All of my animals were rescues from bad situations. I worked a lot with different shelters and such. And also to add names.

2

u/BerserkVl Jun 30 '26

what about a rarer species like a human male?

1

u/KittenIttle Jun 30 '26

I have been known to catch and release now and then. 🤣

13

u/imprctcljkr Jun 28 '26

Okay. Are you, by any chance, a squirrel?

1

u/Honest-Apricot6086 Jun 29 '26

Unfortunately, No. I am a little nuts though 🥜

2

u/frozenivy2B Jun 29 '26

I was friends with crows, I guess they remember me because I’m still friends with them

1

u/Honest-Apricot6086 Jun 29 '26

Crows will be friends with anyone that is patient enough to try. They can also be vindictive enemies as well.

2

u/General_Abies9136 Jun 29 '26

my uncle has a goose as a pet.

2

u/Responsible-Fun-3100 Jun 29 '26

I second you. One was almost friends with me, and I am a porcupine

1

u/Easy-Mountain3875 Jun 28 '26

But not with their girl friends
