He is pretending to hate it but he loves that dog so much.

Yeah you can really see it in the body language they are both mostly relaxed and know they're playing a game.

If that dog were to go away for a few days, like to the vet for surgery and came back and had to be laid up for a bit, that cat would be on him/her like a growth.

Yea for people who don't understand cat signals that cat very much loves the dog lol. Also play fighting!
•
u/Aedora125 11m ago
I remember a post where it was a bunch of puppies going all over an adult cat. People were losing their minds in the comments. I was like, if cat does want to be there, cat will leave or give them a smack

Until the second arrived. "Now there are two of them?!?. This is getting out of hand!"

This is why Dug from the movie Up was so accurate for a golden. Goldens live by, “I have just met you and I love you.” Everyone is a friend.

Which one is the golden doing golden things? Arguments could be made for both!

u/starrynight230 1h ago
Second dog: “Bro, the cat does not like you.”
First dog: “Sure it does! It is friend!”
Second dog: “It is biting you.”
First dog: “Those are love bites.”
Second dog:
First dog:
Second dog: “Wait, I want love bites, too!”

Yeah goldens and labs both have the kindness stubborn often times. Do they learn? Unfortunatly only when the experience is harsh enough... Those goofballs will keep trying endearingly 🙂↕️

My dog did this with our cat we had now passed, turns out when the cat scratched his eye it caused an ulcer on his eye which led to blindness in his left eye even after veterinary operation with third eyelid procedure over the course of a year.
While I hate to bring the Doom and Gloom I see too many of these video's where people think it's fun and games when the cat is clearly pissed off. Be careful. Shit happens.

Three goldens and an orange cat? This person is living the life, and cleaning up lots of knocked over stuff.

That's me whenever I see cats. And I live with cats so that's basically me all the time.

If Goldens ever came in a smaller size (without breeding) I would actually have a dog to go with my cats.
The cutest and sweetest 💗

This my golden to my black cat when they first met. Today they are best friends and are constantly snuggling. The orange cat isn’t a big fan.

Mine is very well behaved around cats but we actually took the time to train it instead of standing around watching while it got scratched and bit.

Heh, those are some very good buddies.
That cat loves that puppy and would never do him any real harm.

Why are Golden Retrievers in the US white?
What the fuck is happening in the US?
•
u/No_Comfortable_539 5m ago
That's a brave dog. They obviously love each other. Cats can get aggressive with their teeth and claws. I only own cats myself. So cute though 😍

That's a yellow lab, not a golden retriever. Gotta love bot posts
•
u/Frozenfishy 28m ago
Fur doesn't look short enough to be labs. Especially for the size comparison between the pups and the cat, they look like young goldens whose fur hasn't bulked up yet.

What did you think were assholy behavior of the cat? They're literally kissing and playing with each other.
6
u/ProfessorChaos213 2h ago
I hate to tell you this but that cat is pissed off and is trying to tell the dog to leave it alone, the ears back, the tail wagging, the biting and clawing etc
11
u/kasst_kast 2h ago
The mouth is open which is a clear indication of play. its being very gentle with the paws no claws, ears are not backwards at all, and that's a playful tail wag right there. They bite when they play.
You would know if the cat wasn't having it. Their movement would be so much faster and unpredictable
8
u/Clembert-Hamlamp 2h ago
No, it's just play fierce. They do the same tussling with other cats. He wouldn't have left tail up casual if it was an actual fiercing : )
-2
u/ProfessorChaos213 2h ago
The cat is pissed off, it's not lost it's temper yet but it doesn't want the dog in it's face, trust me I have two cats and a dog and see this daily
4
u/CaptainLightBluebear 1h ago
Then you don't know your pets. At all. The first thing a cat or dog does when someone is bothering them, is leaving. That cat would have simply left, nothing was preventing them from doing that.
2
u/ProfessorChaos213 1h ago
Did you watch the whole video? The cat left? But It isn't the first thing they do at all, you can annoy a cat or a dog without it immediately leaving
1
u/Clembert-Hamlamp 1h ago
I've had cats since I was 7 and I'm in my 50s lol. Those 2 live together and are play fighting. That stroll away tail up means he knows he won. He's chuffed, not huffy.
•
u/Popular-Departure165 25m ago
One time my dog was getting a little too friendly with my cat, and he gashed my dogs head open down to the bone. She's really lucky she didn't lose an eye.
