Family & Friends Took my aircraft-loving 4-year-old daughter to the airport to watch the arrivals and departures for the first time
Picture 1&3 shows who we got our love of airplanes from :) I love listening to my dad and Granda talk “shop” about planes and history! Note the radio in picture 3 so we could listen to the arrivals channel.
We were so glad to make it in time to watch the Air France jet land!

I recently listened to an episode of the podcast Search Engine where they talked about how airports got to be what they are now. It returns out that in early days of commercial aviation, some airports would charge a fee for people to go in and watch planes take off and land. I thought that was so interesting.
They mentioned that it’s not a very popular activity these days, but it’s nice to see that it still exists. Maybe your daughter will be my pilot one day!
