I keep hearing that it’s fairly common in China for whatever cultural reasons.

I’ve got ones on my front and back door and I’m pretty good with that, but I guess I could cheaply throw one in the living room if I was going to be gone from my pets a long time and someone was just stopping by to the feed them?

Don’t want someone to feel like they’re being watched if they stay over to watch my pets.

For anything else I’d want footage of… figure the front and back cameras cover that.

My daughter with down syndrome has been standing up for months now. Two fridays ago at 4pm exactly, she took her first step towards us with a lot of encouragement. It was absolutely amazing, and she was even excited knowing what she accomplished.

I know it's so exciting when any child takes their first step but my god the feeling when your baby who has taken double the amount of time to do the same thing finally does it is unbeatable. I can't wait until she's walking all over my house.

My family helped me practice walking by sitting in a circle and telling me whose lap to go to. Id stumble a few steps towards the person and they'd catch me. I don't remember it but we have it on an old home video. I seemed to be having a lot of fun

My son had a problem with his shoulder at birth. When he first crawled around six months my wife burst into tears. He overcame his early life setbacks and became a kick ass adult. As rough as things are in the moment they can get better.

My sister told me that the way she was told to get her kid walking was to put something in both of her hands, then call for her. It worked for here and it appears something similar is happening here.

I guess it creates a need for some form of movement other than crawling.

Edit: I understand the monitoring of pets and kids but that is streaming. Storing recorded video is different which takes space and money. I still feel it was staged.

We have at home cams to watch our dogs when we’re out. Lots of pet owners and parents do the same for their pets and kids. My uncle has them for security reasons. Not an unusual thing! ☺️

It seems to be the norm these days with the number of videos coming up being filmed in the house on home cameras. I find it utterly bizarre though. If you have pets to watch, surely you'd just switch the cameras on when you're away. Do people like being filmed 24/7?

I personally am fortunate enough to be able to dedicate a large portion of my home to my dog entirely. I only keep cameras there since it’s where he likes to spend like 95% of his indoors time. 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I also kinda forget I have cameras to be honest, so could see myself just forgetting to turn them off all the time.
