He doesn’t want to stand above you, he wants to stand with you. That kid would make a better leader than the majority of idiots running the world right now

whoever his parents are, or whomever is showing him how treat others... thank you!

Thank you for saying “or whomever is showing him”. I don’t know how often I’ve gotten “your parents raised you right”, when it was a combination of Mr. Rogers, Sesame Street, and a little bit of my grandma. My parents were “present”, but sure as hell weren’t the ones teaching me how to be a decent person. So thank you for allowing for credit to potentially go where it was earned.

"It takes a village" as they say... I was lucky enough that some strangers, parents of my friends, and other relatives looked out for me while growing up. I was a latch key kid and my parents were both busy at work, providing for my brother and I.

One of my buddies from soccer has a kid that’s a friggin saint. He’s pretty good and he’s always bringing his team up. Cheering on the other kids, even though he can run circles around them.
Before my buddy stopped playing (because of dad duties) he one time brought his son to our match (when he was like 8). At halftime he was trying to pump me up, and complimenting my game. Meanwhile I was getting pelted in goal and we were losing. Just perpetual positive energy.

Raised right and has a big heart. Destined for an awesome life with lots of love around him I’m certain. Kudos to the parents.

Hate certainly can be taught, but it’s not a requirement. One can learn to hate through simple observation. Of course one can also decide to not hate.

This is so sweet ❤️ and every time he does that with these other kiddo competitors, he increases the chance that they'll do it whenever they place first as well, and that they'll all make other social overtures for the sake of comaraderie and sportsmanship. Rising tide (or a kiddo raised well) raises all boats ❤️

Good for the kids for showing sympathy and empathy but please don't phrase it like that. Hatred is another emotion people have innately. If I see people not picking up their dogs' shit, I don't hate people because "it's taught", it's because some are pieces of shit, and certainly I don't hate the dog for being a dog...

Yup, becoming a parent makes you try to be the best person you can, for those little monkey-see monkey-do copy machines.

If the whole world was like this then it would be a peaceful place. Plus think on the advancements in technology that helps hurt, starving, and sick people if we all worked together as one.

Did you notice how he's always in the first place, I think his behaviour explains why he is a winner

I hope this kid's heart does not break when he gets a little older and he learns hatred needs to be learned just as much as love in order to help change the world properly. Such a pure hearted young man. Seeing this makes my heart warm.
