S Server rules

Today we had a new employee start working in the restaurant. She had some questions —one being —does [manager] hit on everyone. Manager came in back to the kitchen and said to me, a server, don’t come on the kitchen anymore. I don’t need to explain that this hinders my job performance drastically. So I asked him to get bread to take it to a table while I stood in the server alley. Then I sent the hissed into the kitchen to ask if my food was up. Finally I called into the busy kitchen asking if I had an order up. Manager had enough and said “you can come into the kitchen and you’re really pissing me off” it made my petty heart grow.

Yeah. Commenters were right. It was the hostess and auto correct hates me

I had a great joke, but auto-correct ruined the lunch-time.

Some jokes only appeal to the wrong type.

I always call it auto-corrupt.

That's easier to say than auto-screwup, so, taking that.

Feel free. I stole it too!

It means autocorrect is being malicious. The closest word I can think of is “hostess”.

Thank you. That was so far off I didn't make the connection, but I can see it now.

Having a hard time following your story.

A new employee asks you if the manager hits on everyone. Manager tells you to stay out of the kitchen.

What happened in between those two things?

OP drank the AI kool-aid, and merged two prompts.

Can you rewrite the story when you recover from your stroke?

AI would probably make this considerably more readable.

The first half doesn’t go anywhere, and the last half I’ve read before.

What? Can we have this in English, please?

That was BEAUTIFUL! "you're really pissing me off." 🤣🤣🤣Good job.

Some managers just don't get it until it smacks them in the face. I had one that wanted me to write down how much time I spent doing my job. It was a PITA that lasted 3-days because I fell behind doing the damn time I spent. Every entry included, time spent recording my time.

Okay,  next we'll have constant meetings until productivity improves.

You have no idea how many meetings I had to attend, financial as I was in AP. I was the only AP person. We were on SAP at the time and everything, regarding AP was pretty much automated once I entered the invoices. I say pretty much because I had to send some to another division for them to release the invoice. Too much to explain.

I also was able to work on projects. One, in particular, I saved the company over $250K in back taxes. I got kudos from the legal & tax HQ departments and a very nice raise, $2 an hour.

So, why I had to go to these meetings was beyond me. They never had anything to do with me. Hey, their dime, my time, PAID!

I love that. When I was required to document my time once, I was able to cut and paste BS and overwhelm my manager. I'd add in time to document everything as well, She didn't read what I wrote, and in meetings where she'd try to claim I never updated her on something I always had the receipts.

I didn't cut and paste, it saved too much time. LOL. I was the back up office manager AND I did back ups for our IT department of 1 (downsized). He had to travel to any site that needed him in our region. Reno to the Central Valley of CA. BIG region.

It's so stupid people have to do that, keep track of their time. Unless, it has to do with people on projects and that includes legal.

Ce sujet n'a pas déjà été évoqué? Et avec une rédaction plus détaillée et plus compréhensible il me semble.

Bien que le SUJET puisse être le même (ceci est autorisé), l'histoire elle-même est différente.
