I would like to revisit the International Peace Gardens in Turtle Mountain on the Canadian side as my husband has never been, and I have fond memories of Turtle Mountain that I would love to share with him. However we’ve let our Canadian passport lapse. I “heard” that in this climate that this could be a problem- is it really?

Question mmf hunting regulations in manitoba (GHA 35)

everyone and their dog claims métis harvesters can hunt deer over bait, looking into it out of curiosity the manitoba rules for hunting state that "no person" shall hunt within 800 meters of cervid bait.
does anybody have any clearer rules than that? i've called the mmf main office and was told that "yes we can hunt cervids over bait, just check to see if you're in a no baiting area first".
so according to mmf we can bait where it's not prohibited but according to manitobas regular regulations all areas are prohibited so which rules do we follow and how come everybody and their dog says it's perfectly legal?
