Cool idea for a future Mario game

Wouldn’t it be cool if the a future sandbox or open world 3d Mario game or RPG was set in a world where a corrupted bowser won and his minions took over and run things but want the old normal bowser back even if it means him not ruling the world anymore. Like already in Mario 64 there’s hints that whomps are to thank for roads and buildings but imagine if they were literally the workers installing roads etc widespread and it’s not just a funny extra detail but genuinely more of a world building element.

You can play with idea of being crushed. Like there's a moment where someone has their car stopped by a thwomp. And it's slowly crushing them all the while the area is being filled with gravel, remains of a whomp. And they did this specifically to this one person. And the scene just focuses on that person in panic having to escape. And they can hardly breathe as gravel comes from their mouth.

All the while they're having to stop thwimps from killing them (imagine paperweights that change trajectory mid-air flying at you in a cramped car at the speed of a dodgeball about to slam into your head, ripping through the front and back seats), said car being completely buried in gravel and rocks.

Worst of all it's not even in the middle of nowhere- it's in the standard part of the suburbs with a grocery store and a crosswalk. But EVERYONE has this going on around them, no one can help each other and can barely hear each other screaming.

Where's the fire fighters, ambulance, police, anyone? They're having this happen too. Spikes are throwing balls wrecking their buildings, hammer bros are murdering the cops. And the toads can't fight back as they usually would because they can't. Because of Bowser's power they must act accordingly whether they like it or not. In fact no one can.

And they can't call anyone because the whomps filled their phone with wet cement. And the twomp here is put under control by the corrupt bowser, but then there's a moment where he comes back to his senses. However he's too far gone too stop and what's worse- being in the Koopa klan well turns out he likes torturing people. See how they look with their teeth showing like that? Who's to say some don't get a kick already from hurting people? Now's his chance to be more than just a road block.

Maybe this is a sequence for the playable civilian. The roof just crinkles a bit like aluminum foil under the mass of the troops; shards of glass playfully fall everywhere. And they laugh a bit like it's some kind of funny game. And you have to wait until it's your chance. The inside of the car at this point as cramped as it is believe it or not somehow becomes a level because this resident now has to pull out acorabatic moves he hasn't used in 15 years.

Imagine controlling a character like you would Mario but you only have about two feet of space to move around. But this person acts like someone you'd see in like Philly just a normal person emotions like we have here in real life on this Earth as it currently, having to do all of this. That's what this person has to do here. The area is filling so this is his time limit. And he's running out.

It's like a mini-earthquake. The ground shakes and you have no idea what's going on as things are flying all over the place. The sky can even be normal and blue and you'd still be freaking out. This is what's going on for him. It was a normal day when all this happened.

And if does manage to escape he has to dodge giant blocks of bricks and steel construction beams flying at him. It's now "Mario Maker" without the Mario Maker iywim. Bowser can change the place to anyway he wants randomly. Peach was forced into leaving the kingdom so she can't help anyone. The citizens are all on their own. Riot shields are all over the roads and steets, and the streetlights are knocked over in broad daylight. The local convenience store and toad houses are on fire. Kids can't find their moms because they are dead. Some people are even kidnapped to be tortured somewhere else.

In fact all the asphalt and sidewalks turn into living things that try to grab the residents and eat them alive. And they don't swallow them, they chew. Like thwomps they have eyes, mouths, and and tongues (some of them do). With teeth. And you can hear screams and bones crushing and being grinded. And the road laughs at them. This extends to the castles. They now are given sentience and you hear them scream when the thwomps and womps eat them alive, unable to fight back and unable to move. It's a bloodcurdling cry. And they are from the people who were turned into the castles, some who were kidnapped, beaten, and then stuck like that..

And the air isn't clear either. Paratroopas invade airplanes and cause them to fall from the sky and cause massive damage all around the locales.

What happened to Mario & Luigi? They are now blocks transformed by Bowser. He has the kind of increase in power that let him do that. And they take over from here. What used to be simple things to dodge now become dangerous. Hammer bros. hammers chip at their shale-sand mixtures and that's their "health points." And even worse Bowser has filled the place with sledge bros to cause more pain. They have to slowly hop to move (think playing as the goomba in Mario Wonder) and hopefully avoid them. Weakened enough we see Mario bleed yellow liquid reminiscent of the yellow shimmery gold we see as the metal on the coins.

The bros. have to kill the reluctant enemies. Some get tired of them and throw themselves at them as a last ditch effort to kill them, hopefully alo ending their lives. Because really how does a cube of bricks and a glowing square get around so much and in so little time?

And as implied there is a small change- Luigi is a ? Block. Mario can hit him to get a power up but Luigi freezes in place, unable to move and unable to be used. And he'll never see him again and "re-awakened" until it's by luck (a truck pases by with him in it, a dog guides Mario to his brother who is lost in a ditch terrified and afraid while Mario is driven crazy worrying where he is).

What everyone else says sounds like nonsense but they can perfectly understand thwomps.
