How about fist our straight like he’s firing a wrist mounted laser or a rocket… then legs wide, open hand flowing behind him like he’s pushing the fist forward… that would be a change up from the common repulser blast pose… just a thought though

Use comic book covers as references. And play with the lighting, for example if he firing from his left then on his right should be some shade.
