I tried him a 4 times and I got ebony maw twice. I learn after the first time not to play him by himself.

3 out of 4 times J. Jonah Jameson. He has always been pretty sick though power wise and usually swings a lane with a downside.

u/Fifty-Lucky 2h ago
Might have to run grandmaster and enchantress I guess and play this guy midlane until we get the hang of him, probs wanting to play midlane always anyway for cpt. Marvel, fantastic, claw etc

Turns out, he isn't revealed in hand, but in play. Not shocking, but good to know

u/EnginearringProper 4h ago
I would have been shocked if it were the other way around. But yup, valuable information

Makes it worse than rama imo ty for the info

He's like Rama Tut then, just for ongoing? I love random bs cards like this, Sersi, Nightmare, etc. Makes it more exciting~ Rarely win, but still fun.

u/shadow_vinny 4h ago
I guess so, but isn't Rama tut limited to like a specific few cards? All that "released before his time" mumbo jumbo
7
u/TheHumanSpider6903 4h ago
Yeah, but that's only a year's worth of cards that's excluded, so it's not really limiting much
5
u/shadow_vinny 3h ago
Does it basically mean "cards that came out before Rama tut"? Like is that all it is?
4
u/TheHumanSpider6903 3h ago
Yeah, it's just any card that was released before it. So as time goes on, there will be more cards that Rama Tut won't pull from, but right now, that amount is pretty small

I got to infinity 4 times since launch. 2 of those times were Rama-Tut decks

Mind dropping the list? I love that idiot card and want to have fun in the ladder

I’ve seen him once so far and I’ve been playing Doom 2099. It rolled Stardust and I just retreated.
1
u/Peluk_22 1h ago
Hey, i really want to build Doom 2099 and I'm waiting for it to show up on the shop rotation. Would you mind sharing your decklist? I've seen a million different builds online so I'm kind of lost on what works.

Does the elctro also gives you +1 energy or just gives you the restriction?
22
u/ItemOk719 4h ago
Should only be the restriction, I believe the energy is On Reveal
18
u/Arikarin636 4h ago
The only reason Mystique gives the Max Energy is because of her text saying she copies the text, Red Onslaught only takes Ongoings

Mine was Cerebro, Mr. Fantastic, and J. Jonah Jameson. He pretty much always comes up on value.

Weird, every time I've played against him today he's pulled omega red, blue marvel, gorr and iron man or some shit...😑.
I know if I spend the 6k tokens my majority pulls will be like what OP posted.
3
u/AceAnnihilator 4h ago
He doesn’t have a restricted pool like Rama tut?
4
u/No-Throat-4694 4h ago
He does for the archetype specific ones like destroy and afflict but not for the stinkers like maw and electro. Highkey worse than rama
3
u/Animaloffear56 2h ago
I'd say Rama is worse because at least Red Onslaught is a pretty decent 4 drop in Spectrum decks while Rama doesn't really fit in anything
2
u/ZestyXtal 4h ago
I just have terrible rng, my opponent on the other hand gets 3 OP abilities. Oh well!

Does he do anything special with Goliath since he is technically multiple ongoing cards?
2
u/9spaceking 2h ago
Just like the memes. Red onslaught when I play: your left lane is broken also you can’t play anything
Red onslaught when your enemy play: I gain 300 power and I win the game
2
u/Swordum 2h ago
Does it show the ongoing before playing or you need to play and see what you get? I don’t get why Electro would be in that pool
1
u/alexkayownsabus 22m ago
You don’t see what it is until you play it. And electro is in the pool because iron man, blue marvel, captain carter etc are in the pool.

u/AdagioDesperate 3h ago
I think RO should be played alongside Mystique on 7.
2
u/Arikarin636 2h ago
Either that or play it turn six with Sera, but it's still too expensive IMO, maybe I'm still salty though, IDK

I played against someone who got, Typhoid Mary, Red Skull and Omega Red. I was like....ok!

u/mikeydangerous 2h ago
It took like 4 games to draw him, and my first time got me Ebony Maw, Blue Marvel and Cosmo. Fun stuff
1
u/Pilgrimzero 2h ago
Maw, Tribunal, Sera. Actually worked out well thanks to Iron Man boosted into the 100s

u/Confident_Ice_9567 2h ago
had a godroll today, iron man, goliath and wong. Perfect for the spectrum.

u/lejyndery_sniper 2h ago
omg I got so close from predicting this
I legit asked "so who was going to get the first maw, eletro starbrand. red onslaught

Red Onslaught is honestly a much worse card than Ramatut...its kind of shocking this got released at 4 4. Ramatut has much fewer scamming rolls that can cost you the game as opposed to red onslaught which has a lot of ongoings thag can actively cost you the game

u/leonprimrose 3h ago
It's such a dumb BS card lol but I love it and I'm strongly considering it just to do dumb BS things. I also love random bullshit decks on occasion. So this, OG Thanos, Arishem, Agamotto, Ramatut, and Red Onslaught would be a lot of fun for my stupid bullshit deck

u/AsuraKaizer 3h ago
I jus got popped 3 matches in a row in conquest because of him fuck that card. (He seemed good)
-6
u/Loop_Within_A_Loop 4h ago
isn’t this part of the card
when it’s good, you play him
when he’s bad, it’s just a dead card which isnt great but just don’t play him 4Head
9
1
u/Barredbob 2h ago
Unless you’re running kang (the fuck is wrong with you) you’d not know what his abilities are till you slap him on the board
1
u/Jackjenkins93 2h ago
Do you know tuts abilities before you play him? No, you don't. Same principle here.
-3
u/boogledavid 4h ago
Damn straight. He’s usually 5th or 6th turn play depending on the situation but never ever play him immediately.
