In the 2003 Clone Wars miniseries, why exactly do they need more Knights specifically?
After Ki-Adi Mundi escapes Grievous, there's a Council scene where they all agree that more Jedi Knights are needed for the war. This is what leads to Anakin being Knighted.
But how does this help the Order or the war exactly? It's not as though Knight Anakin is any different from Padawan Anakin in terms of skill. He's still leading squadrons as a Padawan so it doesn't seem to be a military reason. The title of Knight is important to Jedi culture but seems kind of arbitrary to the war effort as a whole.
