I'd say mine is probably Captive Honour, it was clearly going for something but I have no idea what Dave was thinking with "Before he got there his man-pussy was sold". Still an awesome song IMO, Countdown To Extinction is such a great album.

In the Behind the Song video for "Hey God" he complains about other religious people "caring too much about what everyone believes and looking in each other's underwear". Kinda interesting to hear, seems his views have changed a bit over the years

recently saw them in Crumlin (south wales) and was a little disappointed, awful mix, and the gap between songs were quite large. Jeff's solos were barely audible too.

You'd blame the venu but XIII Doors who were on before, sounded awesome.

Hey all, apologies if this has been asked before.

I have a M&G with Dave, and was wondering if it's still taking place after their set or if it's taking place before. When I bought it during the last Megadeth amphitheater tour (2023 I believe), the M&G was after the show and we met Dave past 11 PM. With them opening, I would hate to miss part of Iron Maiden's setlist (especially if it's during a song like Rime of the Ancient Mariner) because the M&G wait time can be of over an hour.

If anyone did it during the first shows this past weekend, when did the M&G take place?

Hi! I am curious, as title says, why you find the band attractive? I am sure the answers are subjective and complex so I will give you a little context.

I am an artist from Romania and I have a band that pretty much follows the underdog story of Megadeth. Although our playing is pretty good, and our songs resonate with people, it seems that something is not quite there for us. And I am wondering, what do you think that Megadeth has that makes you like them so much?

I would appreciate if you could also talk beside the obviously awesome music. Thank you!!

Megadeth would easily take up the top 10 songs on my Apple Music Replay if only Dave didn't neglect both of these albums so much. Seriously, does it really take that much work to find the original master tapes for both of these albums and throw them onto a streaming service? Peace Sells, SFSGSW, Rust In Peace, Countdown and Youthanasia all have their original mixes on streaming services, so it's not like Capitol has them under some contract preventing them from adding these to their catalogue.

The 2004 remixes are just not what these albums were going for IMO, Risk ESPECIALLY is hurt by their attempt to try to make it "more metal" when it's clearly not. I'll Be There is the only song that seems to follow the original vision, making it less heavy and more "hopeful".

Oddly enough, Trust and A Secret Place are both available internationally in an EP for god knows what reason, and of course it's not available in the US.

Sorry if this post comes out as a bit harsh, it's just disappointing how a band can have so little respect for its own history sometimes. At least we're sure Dave will play She-Wolf for the thousandth time in his next headlining show.

I will be seeing Megadeth with Iron Maiden soon and was wondering if anyone knows what the shirt prices are? Just wanted to be prepared before going!

Very much enjoyed the show last night in Toronto, but my friend and I had some concerns over the Megadeth set.

First of all, it was way too brief and rushed.

Megadeth is a huge band and while they’re not as massive as Iron Maiden they are above and beyond ‘opener band material.’

My major concern is with Dave’s health. I noticed they would play a song and then rush off the stage for a long period of time, like 45secs to 1 minute. Then they would play a song rush off the stage. Play a song rush off the stage.

I’ve never seen this before and it gave us the idea that something was wrong medically or technically.

I saw Megadeth in February and it was like night and day to what I saw last night.

Then during holy wars, Dave seemed to have lost his place in one of the verses. Either that or the sound completely cut out the vocals. I was far back so I couldn’t really tell, but he appeared to just freeze.

I may be paranoid here, but it seemed like there may have been some health concerns or technical issue that prevented them from playing at their full capacity.

Dave had great energy for some of the songs like Sweating Bullets and Dread and the Fugitive Mind so it’s not like he appeared stiff or ill.

Did anyone experience something similar at the Saturday show or is this just a one off that experience?

Not on reddit in particular but i see a lot of people hating on kirk calling him a trash guitar player, i mean he is a pentatonic warrior and dave is obviously a better guitarist, but people saying his solos suck? I haven’t seen anyone mention dave being a bad guitarist but i mean c’mon even some of his solos are just sloppy shredding. I just want to know why people think this

Tornado Of Souls is the song they've decided to go with for Megadeth's entry to this game, a predictable but still very welcome choice in my opinion, here's hoping we get a bunch of Megadeth DLC (and yes they have confirmed DLC will follow) after launch, what're your thoughts guys? It’s been a few tours since I’ve seen them live, but the riffs used to jump off the speakers at you. Dave’s vocals were just always okay live, but it never seemed to compromise the music.

Tonight in Toronto was the worst sounding live show I’ve ever seen, opening band or not. Was tonight a one off or is this just what they are now?
