Glad I didn’t vote for this pathetic loser

Trump did that

They just respond that they got their country back. ...One lady said the UK had been controlling us until 2024, when Trump broke us away from them. In his second term.

There's not a good answer, so they just like the fact that their team won, and treat it like a sport.

3

u/Choice-Antelope-8481 5d ago

Lol what? Was she on drugs?

1

u/pasarina 4d ago

Yikes! Keep that drug way over priced!

1

u/Paradoxmoose 4d ago

She appeared to be sober, but who knows.

-2

u/Creative_Raise_8682 5d ago

A secure southern border! That's what we got.

3

u/Soft_Ability_5906 5d ago

Lmfao yall fall for that and its not even true lmfao. Texan here and that promise was full of shit hahahahahaha

1

u/bbeeebb 5d ago

Yeah? You got a picture? You got anything? Anything at all to prove that?

Anything?

Oh. Never mind. You got a dude on Fox "News" telling you so.

5

u/Peaceonhotdogs 5d ago

We’re just pulling up our boot straps like patriots!

6

u/SmokeMaleficent9498 5d ago

Promises made Promises broken

3

u/lc4444 5d ago

Doesn’t matter to them

3

u/yrotsihfoedisgnorw 5d ago

Exactly. It's going great for most of them because simply because they buy into all the excuses and what not. Being MAGA isn't about being rational or reasoned. It's visceral.

5

u/-M00ND0G- 5d ago

I can't see any of this changing their minds or votes, the truth never worked before.
maga gonna keep on being maga.

6

u/goofbot 5d ago

That was just the cover for their bigotry. I don't think those were real make or break issues for MAGA - their white/christian nationalism and hurting other assorted hate targets were what they were voting for and largely what they have received when they say, "This is what we voted for."

9

u/Holymoose999 5d ago

Probably a small percentage of people voted on those issues alone. Most voted for him out of bigotry and the rejection of wokeness. Having a black woman candidate was as “woke” as it could get for them. Face it, we are an Archie Bunker nation.

3

u/aceface_desu89 5d ago

No, this is Epstein country đŸ‡źđŸ‡±đŸ‡źđŸ‡±đŸ‡źđŸ‡±

3

u/Raziel7485 5d ago

They still got the racism and bombing brown children so they are still happy with their choice and will vote for him again when given the chance. MAGA doesn’t care of the US collapses as long as they are the last to go

3

u/Mo-B-Dick 5d ago

They don’t care, the goalposts continuously move and people get distracted by fake emergencies with trans people in the WNBA etc.

3

u/Odd_Zookeepergame_69 5d ago

I'm sure they are thrilled that they at least don't need to be afraid of super scary pronouns anymore. As long as liberals are upset, they don't care if they cut the hole in their own boat.

2

u/2TonCommon 5d ago

At some point after the proverbial "Winds Of Time" have blown the blinding dust of the Trump administration from our eyes, there will be a time of reckoning, self-mortification and anguish as to how we could have ever let these unspeakably perverted and destructive persons occupy our nation's highest office.

All manner of accusations and recriminations will be heaped upon one group or another to seek those responsible. But in the end, it will amount to nothing if we cannot learn to recognize the evil's among us when they appear and openly call them out unrelentingly until they no longer have any power over us!

3

u/710AlpacaBowl 5d ago

Funny, I thought people were doing that for years and being told "WeLl BiDeN..." There is no reasoning with these clowns. They refuse to accept reality as it is presented. Nothing will get better, these people are mentally ill and that's how the GOP likes it

2

u/oboshoe 5d ago

To everyone that stayed home and didnt vote for Camela....hows that working out for you??

2

u/Remarkable_Quit_3545 5d ago

They already were given their opinion by the Cheeto in charge and have moved on to another talking point.

2

u/Fit50PDX 5d ago

wtf

..*ibtard at its finest. Word salad like your former VP.
You literally said
“Proof

Yeah. That’s what I thought.”

Implying my claim was false that the bosses are not more secure.

2

u/Telstar2525 4d ago

I didn’t know that there’s this many inbreds in the country

1

u/BigNaziHater 5d ago

No MAGA actually voted for any of those things. They voted for the ability to be openly racist. But because they felt they couldn't actually say that wothout looking like Nazis, they added policy issues to make it look good. They never really cared about any of that stuff.

1

u/Fit50PDX 5d ago

Well. No kidding right.? Boarders are secure at least. But that’s not enough

1

u/bbeeebb 5d ago

Proof?

Yeah. That's what I thought.

1

u/Fit50PDX 5d ago

Wtf are you talking about? Are you seriously claiming the boarders are not more secure?

1

u/bbeeebb 5d ago

I didn't make a claim; you did.

I said: 'Yeah. That's what I thought.'

And I was right.

1

u/Local-Friendship8166 5d ago

They don’t care. They’re too busy hooking up with each other on Grindr.

1

u/notwithagoat 5d ago

They'll say the border is closed or some shit.

1

u/budkynd 5d ago

It was never any of those it was always misogyny and racism.

1

u/Nice_Rope_5049 5d ago

They only wanted tragedy to befall the demographics they hated. They used gas prices and other BS as excuses to vote for him

1

u/travrod33 5d ago

Not great

1

u/IronBeagle63 5d ago

It was all about the racism all along.

1

u/canuckistani19 5d ago

They voted for none of that.

Browns on buses, that's all.

1

u/Naive-Aerie-9567 5d ago

Or to own the libs. How's that going?

1

u/madancer 5d ago

If I didn't make myself cut off my dad.... I would definitely send this to him.

1

u/Lorddoctorjava 5d ago

They didn't want any of that... they wanted to be racist pos... they hoped donald the pedophile would bring us back to before the Civil War... that's it...that's all they wanted

1

u/Public_Narwhal4748 5d ago

Wasn’t about that. That was the cover. The left needs to move past this.

1

u/Soft_Ability_5906 5d ago

Trump is named in the epstein files more than Harry Potter is mentioned in the Harry potter books lmfao

1

u/AdventurousRoll9798 5d ago

They never cared about any.of that. Their continued support for an entire party that is rife with pedophiles is proof. They lie just as much as he does. All they ever cared about was racism and bigotry.

1

u/InevitablePayment409 5d ago

but ICE is lOCKING UP cRMINALs !
(Same in ever country these days; all Polizist could be shit and corrup as long as the Party is racist they get 30%)

1

u/balldeeeeep 5d ago

About the same as everything promised by every politician in the last 20 years. People need to wake up..

1

u/Wikdgt 5d ago

1

u/Lovemhairy 4d ago

Remember, only two types of people still support trump. Pedophiles and those who condone pedophilia. Which one are you?

1

u/SortaNotReallyHere 5d ago

For them it's going amazingly great as they switch to defense mode to protect President Pedophile Trump. Fucking cults... if these morons had a brain they would know how cults and their members end up.

1

u/bass-squirrel 5d ago

No no no. MAGAs voted for him for one reason and one reason only. To hurt brown people. Everything else was just PR.

1

u/foxytango86 4d ago

Fox news, The maga cult, Republicans who only vote R.. well because ???? AND all those people who didn't vote....EVERYTHING HAPPENING NOW IS ON YOU..AND YOU NEED TO START FIXING IT!

0

u/Minimum-Journalist18 5d ago

Going just fine thank you. Inflation lower than it was two years ago, prices stabilized, illegals being deported, fraudsters going to jail and now to get the save American act passed and things will get better.

Thank you for asking.

Proud American

0

u/Creative_Raise_8682 5d ago

I voted for Trump because our country was being conquered and Trump locked down the southern border on day one. And that alone is good enough for me.

1

u/bbeeebb 5d ago

Who said he did?

1

u/Gothewahs 5d ago

I didn’t realise Israel was to the south ? Cause they conquered you good .. you could pretty much say your their bitch bow

1

u/Unlikely-Rabbit948 5d ago

Ask him what he means by conquered? Someone ask him to define what he means. I'm not going to ask him because I am actually enjoying this. He owned the libs and he will be paying for it for the rest of his life. We have reached the point where I know that you know you're fucked and I'm watching and enjoying the show.

0

Exactly the same as Joe biden and every president in history

0

A lot better than under a puppet ran by the deep state

-2

u/KeyVariation8323 5d ago

Yeah ... I just did not want a Democrat.

3

u/SomethingSoOp 5d ago

What were you worried about a Democrat doing? Starting new wars? Committing fraud and insider trading? Racking up a higher national deficit? Raising inflation? Creating huge health risks by gutting the FDA and creating a 400% increase in food caused illnesses? Maybe meeting with international war criminals on American soil or selling government secrets to foreign countries? Massive tax breaks to corporations? Perhaps you were worried they could be found liable in a civil case for sexual assault and being good friends with Epstein. Possibly you were worried about the kids and thought the democrats would stonewall the release of the files and redact the names of the perpetrators? Or even be in the files themselves countless times and listed as RAPING CHILDREN (not to mention cabinet members being associated with Epstein and lying to Congress about it). Or could it be you thought they might hurt the farmers and rural Americans by say buying massive amounts of beef from Argentina that is most likely pumped full of so much shit even the Chinese won’t take it. What exactly were you so scared the democrats would do that you thought TRUMP of all people would be a better choice? Please walk me through this line of thinking. This is just a fraction of the shit trump and his cronies have done and honestly I’m not sure when or if this nation will ever recover. This isn’t picking your favorite sports team where loyalty is what matters, this is your life and future and the future of our future generations.

0

u/godzofrock 5d ago

Epstien was a democrat! We fought many wars against communism that democrats are trying to push for. It has been proven that communism doesnt work. How about a full release of the Hunter Biden laptop. Or how about any and all democrats on the Epstien list. Instead its just about the republicans

4

u/killbawqs 5d ago

Republicans are the current dominant party and pushed for releasing the Epstein files then pussed out and capitulated to Trump in modern GOP fashion.

Hunter's laptop data was already released? What "communism" are democrats pushing for? Do you just regurgitate Fox "News" talking points? Is thinking for yourself too hard?

2

u/KeyVariation8323 5d ago

To be fair ... so was Regan. So was Trump.

0

u/710AlpacaBowl 5d ago

Regan was on the Epstein list?

1

u/KeyVariation8323 5d ago

**sigh**

0

u/MathematicianEven251 5d ago

You can talk about it

1

u/KeyVariation8323 5d ago

I think if I say liberals are idiots it may get downvoted here. But so did my sigh ... so whatever.

1

u/MathematicianEven251 5d ago

You can say it, just back it up with facts on why. And accept things they may say in return that could possibly be true too....you can't have a one way conversation and believe zero of anyone else says.

1

u/KeyVariation8323 5d ago

You said I could talk about it. I did. I'm good.

2

u/SomethingSoOp 5d ago

“WHAT ABOUT!” No one cares what your political affiliation is, if you abuse children you should die. Period. Release the laptop, execute politicians for treason, or at the very least prosecute them. I don’t understand how you think these things are party issues. You’re worried about communism? Trump has done nothing but alienate our allies while cozying up to communist dictators.

0

u/godzofrock 5d ago

Thats why ALL POLITICIANS NEED TO GO. We need to hold true to the constitution as Americans. I am just pointing out that both sides do have secrets that are hidden and NO ONE is been held accountable

1

u/KeyVariation8323 5d ago

Honestly, I kinda agree with that part. I do not think government was ever supposed to become a permanent political class where the same people spend their entire adult lives accumulating power, connections, and money in Washington.

The whole idea is supposed to be representative government. Citizens governing citizens, then being accountable to the people they represent.

Where I get stuck is the solution. "Throw them all out" sounds great, but then what? You still need competent people who understand how government works, and you do not want to replace experienced politicians with inexperienced people who are even easier for lobbyists, donors, and bureaucracies to manipulate.

I agree something is badly out of balance. I am just not sure how you get back to a government that feels like it actually belongs to the people without creating a whole new set of problems.

2

u/godzofrock 5d ago

I agree. Government was never set up to make millionaires. I think they should get paid a standard reasonable wage, if caught taking money from corporate funds that should be considered a bribe and punishable with jail time. Term limits like the president.

2

u/SomethingSoOp 5d ago

That’s where I think WE the people need start holding these politicians accountable. First under the table deal that benefits you, your family, or friends there needs to be protests at the very least until they are tried and prosecuted. No more free pass for the “ruling class”. With this administration it has become so in your face it’s crazy. We have just been conditioned to accept that “that’s just how it is”. Of course the democrats did/do it too. HOLD THEM ALL ACCOUNTABLE. Enough with the b.s of “well this party did that, that party did this”. It was easier for democrats to accept because they were slightly less in your face about it, but now it’s become “well your guy did it so
” instead of let’s throw the book at all of them. Let’s unite in getting corruption out of our politics on all levels and across all parties. We don’t stop shouting until these corrupt politicians are behind bars and send a message to future politicians that we are done being sold out for corporate interests. Same with the media. Obama is largely at fault for the way the media operates now in being “entertainment” and less about facts and information. Honestly I feel like if it wasn’t for so many people doing the WHAT ABOUT bs we could come together as a country and bring about real change. I just don’t want to have to go to war against my family, my neighbors, etc
and that’s why they keep us divided instead of fighting against the real enemy.

-1

u/KeyVariation8323 5d ago

For one, I’m not a Democrat. Never have been, and I don’t see that changing.

Second, presidential elections are generally a binary choice between two candidates I have plenty of problems with. I didn’t vote for Trump because I thought he was a saint, a genius, or incapable of screwing things up. I voted for him because, given the two actual choices on the ballot, I considered him the lesser of two evils.

You’re free to think I chose the wrong evil. That’s a legitimate argument.

But dumping every bad thing you can associate with Trump into one paragraph doesn’t somehow establish that I therefore should have supported the Democratic candidate. If you want to know which Democratic policies or priorities made me prefer the Republican alternative, that’s a different and much more interesting conversation.

And no, politics isn’t a sports team. Which is precisely why I can vote for someone and still criticize the hell out of them afterward.

3

u/SirRowan777 5d ago

Trump already had failed four years earlier. And his entire life, as a matter of fact. He is a shitty businessman, a fraudster, and a sexual assaulter. Yes, we will agree to disagree.

2

u/SomethingSoOp 5d ago

I would like to know what policies swayed you to trump. I am neither democrat nor republican. I’m a big proponent for 2a and that was an important consideration to me when it came to trump vs Kamala but after looking into trump a little more, seeing who his campaign contributors were, his follow through on his promises, and his overall character I couldn’t in good conscious vote for him over a single issue that was important to me. I just seen your comment of “I just did not want a Democrat” which I took as “I will support anyone no matter what as long as they are not a Democrat” which is why I responded the way I did. Like “well here is your no matter what”. I look at the way things are going in this country and can’t think of a single metric that we are better off under this administration than before he took office and I find it concerning that there are still people supporting this. I did take you as one of those people based off a very short and limited context comment and I probably should have asked questions instead of jumping to conclusions.

1

u/KeyVariation8323 5d ago

Fair enough, and I appreciate you acknowledging that you were working from a very short comment.

My original reply was deliberately flippant because I was responding to the premise of the meme. It assumes people voted for Trump because of those specific promises. That simply wasn’t why I voted for him.

You don’t always vote for something. Sometimes you vote against the alternative.

I’m a conservative and a Republican because, in a two-party system, Republicans generally come closer to my views. But conservative does not automatically mean MAGA. MAGA is a right-populist movement, and I don’t agree with everything that comes with it. Depending on the issue, I can also land more libertarian or somewhere in the middle.

The Second Amendment is definitely important to me. I’m an NRA-certified firearms instructor, although I rarely teach anymore, so that wasn’t some minor consideration. But I’m also not a single-issue voter.

And I’m not an automatic straight-ticket Republican. I’ve voted for a Democrat before because, in that election, I thought the Democrat was the lesser of two evils.

So when I said, “I just didn’t want a Democrat,” I wasn’t saying, “I’ll vote for literally anybody with an R next to their name.” I was saying that between the two actual choices I had, I preferred Trump to Harris.

That does not mean I think Trump is a saint. It does not mean I agree with everything he does. It does not mean I can’t criticize him when I think he screws up.

It just means that when I weighed the two choices, I thought Harris and the Democratic agenda were the worse option for me.

If you want to talk about the actual policies behind that decision, I’m perfectly willing to. That’s a much more interesting conversation than assuming everyone who voted for Trump did it for the four reasons listed in a meme.

1

u/Badaboocha 5d ago

So after almost 2 years now, how do you feel about it? Do you feel he lied to you or is it exact what you were expecting. Is it still the lesser of two evils? I’m not from the US but still curious about this

1

u/KeyVariation8323 5d ago

Fair question. After about 19 months, my answer is mixed.

There are things I strongly support. The border should have been brought under control decades ago. We have borders, immigration laws, and they should be enforced. I also strongly support what he has done on the Second Amendment.

Energy is more mixed for me. I want an all-of-the-above policy. Oil, gas, nuclear, solar, wind, hydro, whatever works. I support clean energy, just not by deliberately crippling other sources.

Tariffs are another mixed one. I absolutely want critical manufacturing and supply chains brought back to the United States, especially after COVID showed how vulnerable we are. But I am not convinced broad tariffs and treating allies like economic enemies was the right way to accomplish it.

On inflation, he obviously did not deliver what he promised. At the same time, I think presidents get both too much credit and too much blame for inflation.

Where I probably disagree with Trump the most is fiscal policy. We cannot keep running massive deficits while cutting taxes. Spending needs to come down first. And oddly enough for a Republican, I am not completely opposed to raising taxes somewhat on the wealthy. America helped create the environment that allowed people to become extraordinarily wealthy, and we have real fiscal problems that need to be paid for. I just would not go nearly as far as most Democrats would.

Foreign policy is also more complicated than "no wars." Sometimes war is necessary. My position is that if we are going to fight, then fight to win with overwhelming force, define the objective, and get out. No nation building and no 20-year forever wars.

Socially, I tend to break more conservative than liberal, which is a significant part of the equation too.

So do I think Trump has done everything I wanted? Not even close. Do I think some of his promises were unrealistic or simply haven't been delivered? Absolutely.

But the other half of the question is Harris. I did not have Trump versus some hypothetical candidate perfectly aligned with my views. I had Trump versus Harris. On immigration, guns, the proper scope of government, and a number of social issues, Harris was significantly farther from me.

So if you're asking whether I now think Trump was secretly a great choice with no downsides, no.

If you're asking whether, knowing what I know now, I can clearly say Harris would have been the better choice for me, I still can't say that either.

That's basically what I meant by "lesser of two evils." Sometimes you vote for the candidate you disagree with less.

1

u/GrumpydogGD 5d ago

https://giphy.com/gifs/FY8c5SKwiNf1EtZKGs

This is everyone outside the US when an American says guns are so important to them they're willing to vote for Trump.

1

u/KeyVariation8323 5d ago

I am an American. I could care less what people outside the US have to say about it. You know what most people that came over for the world cup had to say about it? They felt safe here. Good enough.

1

u/RelevantSoftware8283 5d ago

So what did you think about the nra disagreeing with Trump infringing on the second amendment? Kamala wouldn't have done that. She also would've had a stronger focus on deporting violent illegal immigrants than Trump.

1

u/KeyVariation8323 5d ago

On the Pretti shooting, I thought Trump and several people in his administration were wrong to treat his possession of a firearm as evidence that he was an assassin or domestic terrorist. The NRA was right to call that out.

I also understand why the administration reacted as defensively as it did. Federal immigration operations had already been under sustained political pressure and increasingly confrontational protests. Renée Good had been shot and killed by a federal agent only 17 days earlier. I think the administration was trying to defend its agents and prevent the entire enforcement operation from being delegitimized.

That explains the institutional reflex to close ranks. It does not excuse getting ahead of the evidence or making claims that the available video did not support.

Pretti was legally carrying. That is not in dispute. But something being legal does not automatically make it tactically smart.

I have carried a concealed firearm at a protest myself. What I did not do was physically insert myself between law-enforcement officers and someone they were confronting. If an officer had initiated contact with me, my hands would have remained visible, and one of the first things out of my mouth would have been that I was licensed and carrying.

That does not mean Pretti deserved to be shot. It means that being armed while physically entering an already volatile confrontation created an obvious and foreseeable risk. Both things can be true.

Based on the available video and CBP’s preliminary report, federal officers confronted Pretti and then attempted to detain him. CBP says he resisted, and he was wrestled to the ground. One agent repeatedly called out, “He’s got a gun.” Another agent removed Pretti’s holstered pistol and moved away with it. It remains unclear whether the other officers realized that the weapon had already been secured. Moments later, two officers opened fire, firing ten rounds in total.

I have generally described the Pretti and Good shootings as “lawful but awful.” More precisely, I think they may ultimately fall within the broad legal standard governing an officer’s split-second use of force while still being tactically awful and possibly avoidable. The Pretti shooting especially requires a complete investigation. Use-of-force law generally judges officers from the perspective of a reasonable officer at the scene, not with perfect hindsight, and officers are routinely given considerable benefit of the doubt under both law and precedent. That does not mean every shooting is automatically justified.

As for Harris, saying she might have described this particular incident differently is fair. Saying she would have been better for the Second Amendment overall is not. She ran on banning so-called assault weapons and standard-capacity magazines, imposing universal background checks, and expanding red-flag laws. She previously supported a mandatory buyback before abandoning that position in 2024.

On immigration, your argument is partly supported by the numbers. Biden-Harris enforcement concentrated a higher percentage of arrests on people with convictions or pending charges. Trump is conducting much broader enforcement, so a much larger share of those arrested have no separate criminal record.

But that is partly a policy choice. Biden-Harris generally declined to pursue many people whose only violation was immigration law. Trump treats unlawful presence itself as sufficient grounds for enforcement. I support placing violent criminals, gang members and repeat offenders at the front of the line. I do not believe everyone else should receive a permanent exemption from immigration law. They too should be eventually removed. And I fully support bulking up ICE, other federal law enforcement agencies, and the Judiciary to do so in a legal manner.

A higher percentage of criminal arrests under Biden-Harris also does not prove Harris would have removed more violent criminals in absolute numbers. It shows that she probably would have enforced immigration law more selectively.

So yes, I can agree with the NRA and criticize Trump’s handling of the Pretti shooting. I can understand why the administration defended its agents without accepting everything it said. That is exactly my point. Voting for Trump did not require me to surrender my own judgment or pretend that everything he does is correct.

1

u/RelevantSoftware8283 5d ago

Those shootings most certainly weren't lawful or they wouldn't be blocking investigations into it. A reasonable officer would've seen a man pinned to the ground by cops with no gun. A reasonable officer could have just jumped out of the way of the car in the other situation. Especially the third shot the shot that killed her he was completely out of the way you cannot argue that. Every shot must be accounted for you're not supposed to just fire willy nilly as an officer in these situations. If only Trump didn't block investigations into it huh?

I was actually referring to Trump wanting to block trans people from getting guns actually though. The nra disagreed with that.

Harris was better because because she wouldn't block an entire group of people from being able to get guns still and Trump also did the bump stock ban so both sides were banning stuff you can't really point out one without recognizing the other.

I support deporting people too but I'm glad we both agree focusing on violent criminals is more important. You do agree with Harris's policy on that then because that's her position.

We have the numbers to show Trump's mass deportation will actually increase the crime rate.

If you agree with the nra then you know Trump is trying to trample over 2a rights. We have the numbers to show that the mass deportation just isn't working as well.

Why would you have to surrender your judgement or pretend what Kamala does is correct? You can acknowledge things both sides do wrong like giving money to Israel.

A rapist pedophile was worse than a more than qualified candidate? Sure bud.

1

u/Gainztrader235 5d ago

Kamala Harris was “qualified,” sure but Democrats still ran a weak candidate and a poor campaign. She had never won a competitive presidential primary, and based on her 2020 performance, there’s little reason to assume she would have emerged from an open primary as the nominee.
