I swear you used to be able to find these everywhere. I grew up watching tour and studio movies for LOG, Mastodon, Pantera, TBDM, Cannibal Corpse... the list goes on!

Are bands still doing this or has it mostly died off? I really love the slice of professional metal musician life a lot of these movies had offered. I suppose now, you dont even have to go to the studio anymore, just send your files around or whatever. But I digress. What are your favorite metal live or studio movies? Any new ones out there? I really liked the recent one Maiden did, with like their whole history and commentators included.

I just want to find some heavy & melodic and emotional metal songs. That are sad, like bittersweet sorrow, but not depressing, not necessarily lyrically emotional but musically. Especially using minor chord riffs, and big vocal lines.

Spanish punk/thrash metal band, very high octane, wacky and raw as hell.

Detroit, Michigan, USA quartet formed in the early 1970s by Frank Ewing, Doug Kahan, Mike Harner and John Ponder. Having spent several years on the city's club circuit, the band was spotted in 1977 by music impresario, Russ Regan and signed with Parachute Records, a subsidiary of Casablanca.

The following year, their debut "Music" was issued. National attention eluded the band despite opening slots with numerous touring acts, the band failed to catch fire and returned to the Detroit clubs without a label. Lineup changes ensued, including future Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer, Chad Smith before drifting apart in the early 1980s. Kahan would form Flash Kahan and later, DC Drive. Harner would move to Florida and embark on a solo career.

I've listened to this album for the first time, and it really reminds me of Taake. Am I the only one?

I listen to easier stuff not so much heavy stuff,so I was suprised I loved Toxicity so much and I geniunely think Chop Suey is a perfect song.Is there any albums close to the Toxicity feel

Hi, I’ve been wanting to listen to more metal but the only metal (metal adjacent) songs I listen to are “Cotards Solution” or “Suburbia Overture” (metal starts at 3:00), does anyone know any bands/songs that have a similar style?
