The SufferMuppits need to pay! Do they realize how much they messed up his life?!

I’ve read a couple fics for Mileven that have a “realistic“ reunion for them (I’m looking directly at you Finding The Mage). But honestly, I say screw realism. Was the way they were separated in the final realistic? Was their reunion in season 2 realistic? This might just be me, but I think they deserve to have a happy, “unrealistic“ reunion after everything they’ve been through.

It's been exactly 8 months since the Finale streamed, and I'm still so sad about how it ended for Mike and El

I think the only reason El would have changed her mind is if she was pregnant and found out.

She wouldn’t want her baby to die with her.

Even if she‘s alive and escaped (she did), she wouldn’t want her child to grow up without their father.

She’d want to raise her child alongside Mike and let Mike get to see their child grow up. Even though they will reunite after the Cold War, Mike would miss important milestones like their baby’s first steps, and that would devastate both him and her.

I find it kinda funny how some people theorized that Mike and El were broken up at the start of season 5 when this was literally them in S5 E1.....

Knowing How much Inspiration Stranger Things takes from Classic 80s Films & other Story's I decided to do some digging into various media to see if I could piece together a certain Puzzle. There's definitely more to share & More to learn but I figured I'd start here.

We know the DB constantly love to compare the relationship between Mike & El with Elliot & E.T. but Now that I've seen this film I also see the parallels. An ordinary Boy needing to save an Extra Ordinary Girl by Giving her a Name & Believing in The Impossible is textbook Mileven.

Perhaps El is meant to not only reflect the otherworldly yet in endearing nature of E.T. but is also meant to mirror the Purity of Innocence & Goodness found in "The Empress aka Moonchild"

While Mike who is akin to Elliot in that he forms a bond with the extra ordinary so powerful it stays with him forever (Even Forming a Hivemind with E.T. until they become almost one Person) He embodies the necessity of Bastions belief in the extra ordinary to save an entire world. Without Which all hope in this story would be lost.

Perhaps El embodies the spirit of innocence in its purist form. Despite all that she had suffered through It never broke her & she ultimately remains a kid just like the other Party Members. An outcast sure but a good person through & through. Unlike Henry, or Even Kali neither of whom retained their innocence.

While Mike embodies unshakable belief in the impossible being possible despite being Ordinary himself.

I think you can summarize these two characters this way. El is an Extra ordinary girl who believes in the ordinary world. (Much Like the empress)

Mike is an ordinary boy who believes in the Extra ordinary world (like Bastion)

Let’s say that in a future Mileven spin-off should it get green lit, Mike and El are having a moment alone. Just El and Mike. And it leads to El and Mike.... having a moment together where they take that next step in their relationship. One that's more.... grown up. After all, the spin-off would take place in the 1990's, both would be in their 20's, and after a long time away from each other, it would only add to the two wanting to have it be a very special first time together. Plus, Mike and El’s relationship is very physical with touch. (Season 3 episode 1 is a prime example of that.)

I hope I was able to put it in a way that wasn't weird. Also, who would make the first move? Would it be El? Or would it be Mike to make the first move?
