I run a small survival server with a few friends. Nothing revolutionary, but there

are two things we built ourselves that I have not really seen elsewhere, so I

figured I would put it up here.

Events that are actually free to enter. A mini event starts every 30 minutes -

spleef, sumo, TNT run, sky wars, survival games, a few others. When you join, your

whole inventory is stored and handed back the moment the round ends, and you get

dropped on the exact block you were standing on. You can be mid-build with a

stack of diamonds on you and still hit /join. Knocked out in the first ten

seconds? You watch the rest and go home with everything you came with.

That sounds obvious, but on most servers entering an event means banking your

stuff first, and that friction is why nobody bothers.

Duels where gear is not the argument. /duel gives both sides the same kit -

sword, axe, UHC, SMP - in 1v1 or 2v2. The arena repairs itself between rounds.

The plugins are ours, written for this server, which mostly means when something

breaks I can actually fix it instead of waiting on an update.

Small community, no pay-to-win, no ranks that give you an edge. If that sounds
