This is to urge, even beg, everyone to vote in person. This has become even more crucial with the release of the USPS whistleblower information. And according to the info from Sen Blumenthal in the image, it's even worse than we thought.

Looks like there are in-person early voting locations all over the state - here's the link to the Sec of State's list of locations by county. The SOS site can also help voters find election day polling places & the candidates you can vote for.

This one's important, please don't sit it out.

it’s one thing to run political stories or talk about politicians. Alpha ‘news’ has taken to singling out average people and trying to make a story. a couple weeks ago they did the same to an acquaintance (also a teacher) who is a leatherman in his personal time. I would love to know who runs this sh!thole of a site and find some dirt on them to make public. trying to ruin peoples livelihoods because of private personal choices is really some slimy behavior.

Northfield farmer Mark Legvold wants to put the “F back in DFL," he said in between greasing and changing oil on his John Deere combine.

His campaign strategy in state Senate District 58 is centered around connecting with residents who’ve felt unheard by his party, like fellow farmers. Legvold has “gravel road Wednesdays” on his weekly schedule.

Both he and incumbent Republican Sen. Bill Lieske, agree that the district is purple. But the two label themselves quite differently.

Legvold is attempting to chart a moderate Democratic course. Lieske legislates from the right wing of his party, serving as a leader in the Minnesota Freedom Caucus and suggesting the Jan. 6 riot was a hoax on a podcast last year.

Aprospos of another post today about the concerns about the reliability of the US Postal Service to actually deliver ballots, I did look up on the Secretary of State's Office website when early in person voting would be. Friday September 18. Find out who is on your ballot and bank it early. The County election office is easy enough for me to find, but for others, you may benefit from the find an early polling location info linked on this page. As an aside, certain races garner a lot of attention, but a lot of our quality of life comes from the city, school board and county elections. Find out who's running and what they stand for. Even I can't stand that we vote for Judges, really hard to find important info for them.

There is a bipartisan-supported (passed the House unanimously) amendment to increase school funding distributions from a land grant fund established at the time of statehood. It basically increases the percent that can be distributed yearly from 2.5 to 4.5% because the value of the fund has grown so large.

Leaving this question blank on your ballot counts as a "no" vote.

At any rate, this year's edition of the Minnesota State Fair Corn Roast is probably a bit on the bittersweet side with the passing of its longtime supplier before Fairtime.

What a sickening non-answer.

If you won't defend our state's law enforcement and legal system and therefore accept that people should get a "get out of jail card" based on politics and ignore justice, you don't deserve to take an oath to our constitution as governor. Disqualified.

I’ve already gotten some wild rice soup mix, but I confess I’m at a loss for non-perishable goodies. My friend was very sweet and sent me all sorts of delicious Canadian snacks like ketchup chips and maple cookies, and I’d love to return the favor! He and his partner both love cooking so condiments/spice mixes are on the table.

They will be leaving us soon (sigh).

Until I make my dream of owning and operating one come true the Arcade at the Minnesota State Fair is the ONLY place to get analog Photo Booth photos in the whole of Minnesota. Literally!!

🎞️ State Fair Analog Photobooth Pro tips:
- go to the Arcade (not the grandstand 25th stall Photo Booth OR the playland Arcade photo booths those are all digital only)
- get there early (opens at 9am)
- Photo strips are $5 each!
- Bring $5 cash bills - there are card readers and they accept Apple Pay but absolutely none of those options worked for us and we actually had to go get cash and stand in line even though we got there before everyone else before doors even opened 😩😩😩
- Move FAST kiddos - as soon as you pay the first photo takes lol (I fell off the chair full on from shock but it resulted in some BIG smiles 😝)

I can’t help but think the crop art experience would do better in a larger space which allows for free roaming, much like the Fine Arts Building. I think it’s time to take over the always empty Home Improvement Building… Any other ideas for a better space?

Grew up on this pizza as a kid in Iowa. So good mendota heights just opened up. Check it out. Expensive but worth the money.

We were in line as the Crop Art exhibit opened, and the supervisor walked past us on the phone. She took down the piece and said the artist had to leave the state due to death threats after OAN exposure. Just ludicrous. I hate the ignorant terrorists in our country that are taking away our free speech.

Last year I got a little foldable fan that I love to hate, it was whatever that cloth/plastic material and when folder up it looked like handcuffs, and unfortunately said department of corrections, which I spent a year trying to scratch off, well I’m at the fair now and apparently lost it somehow, but I saw someone with a similar looking foldable polyesterurathane/whatever fan earlier, minus the faschy prison stuff, so that would be even better, anyone know who has these as booth prizes?

The USAA booth by the grand stand on the front left side by a small stage with blue umbrellas and some person’s name had fans but is out, maybe today maybe forever.

The Department of Public Safety has nylon fans in the education center that say don’t drink and drive, which is a more palatable message.

No DoC booth this year they say, the little handcuff shape when sheathed was neat, I shall miss it.
