Even though part 2 is last I still kind of like it. However it is certainly the black sheep of the franchise.

One is an absolute classic.

I mean the premise is quite close, the casting was almost perfect especially in season 2. My only complaints are Richard Madden's character who was totally stupid, in fact I dont think I have ever seen such a stupid special agent main character. Otherwise he definitely has the looks for such a thing.

Priyanka Chopra's Nadia clearly has Ilsa inspiration and in fact I could see Priyanka in future MI movies if they make more of them. I loved PC and the character, though I wish she would have been an independent character and not tied to Mason so much or maybe have the romance being built up for at least a season or two and then have a pay off and not jump straight into it from the get go.

However I was quite bothered by the bad, video game like CGI in season 1, but in S2 was much and quite close to MI in terms of cinematography.

Bernard's character kind of reminds of older Ethan Hunt, in fact if they make another MI movie around 2030 or so I want Ethan to be like him lol.

I also loved the Jim character and his interaction with Bernard, kinda reminded me of Benji/Luther a bit and the actor himself would have been perfect in MI too. I also loved the implied romance between him and the french female agent, also wished they did more of that.

The plot was super basic unfortunately but I wasnt really bothered because most of everything else was there. I only wish the show followed the 2010s style of seasons and had like at least 10 full seasons. They clearly had the budget and tbh I am not really sure what they spent $300 million on as this is almost twice as much as Fallout's budget, which is still one of the best action movies ever.

Imo the series really had the potential I just wish it was executed better.
