Hello folks! I just changed the serpentine belt and coolant on my Mitsubishi mirage DE 2015 and now I have an alert of check engine. Any idea of what could be? Thanks

Hey I couldn't find anywhere online where people talked much about this version of the miragr in english but I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a wiring harness for this adapter. I believe its a 16 Way TE but I could not find a harness for it. Any replies with any help are appreciated cheers.

Eyo, I was not super clear on my description, so I stole someone else’s mirage picture to explain better. The red circles are the clips under the bench seat in the back. If you grip the front of the bench and give a good pull upwards near each of those spots, the entire seat comes out.

In this case, that’s all you need. In blue, I circled the access panel that gives you a nice view of the fuel tank/top of the fuel pump assembly. It comes off with three screws.

You see all those delicious exposed wires in the second image? Easy for tiny little shithead rodents to nibble on? They love that shit. But you can make this area less desirable with shit like capsaicin tape or an application of peppermint oil. It’s just gotta be unpleasant for the little fucks.

Disconnect the batteries if you’re doing more than just a bit of peppermint oil and closing her up. Don’t apply it directly to the connectors.

I got the news I have ✨rodent damage✨

Do yourself a favor if you have squirrels or rats running around where you park and pop off the back seat bottom, open the access panel, and dab some peppermint oil or something 😭You only need a Phillips head screwdriver. The seat literally just pops off with a tug.

I still need to go back to have the full extent of the damage looked at/fully get it diagnosed. The pigtail harness that plugs into the top of the fuel tank is gnawed to hell, so I’m nervous for the bill.

Why my mirage loses power when The AC is on

2024 LE hatchback here.
These two FCM lights popped up yesterday while I was sitting at a red light. I pulled over, restarted the car, and they disappeared and haven’t come back.
I made a dealership appointment for a diagnostic, but now I’m wondering if I’m overreacting. Has anyone had this happen occasionally or had it turn into a recurring issue?

The windshield wasn’t freshly washed, but it wasn’t dirty either. I’m starting to wonder if sunlight/glare temporarily confused the sensor rather than it being an electrical issue or something bigger. Curious what other Mirage owners have experienced.

I've got a 2019 mirage ~150k miles on it. I've stumped my local mechanic a bit and we're looking for some help.

The car started, ran about a mile and then shuddered and died. It started again but immediately died. I had it towed to the mechanic where it showed no codes and worked just fine until the next morning when I tried to recreate the issue and it died again leaving me to walk two miles back to the shop. At this point it showed P0335 crankshaft position sensor, P0715 vehicle speed sensor, an O2 sensor code that I can't find right now, and 2 evap codes, small leak and very small leak.

He replaced the crankshaft position sensor and I drove it about 3 miles and it seemed fine. He got it through inspection and I went to pick it up. I started it, went in to talk to him, came back out and it had died and would not restart. It now starts and immediately dies every time.

Looking for suggestions or similar issues anyone has had. Thanks

Whenever I tried to add a different viscosity gear oil to my cart, it kept changingback to this one. I just gave in and got this, is it good for the Mirage?

Do I incline the car or keep it flat when draining?

I already own a 2025 GR Corolla, I beat on it and use it as a daily, I get 16 mpg which is awful, and I’ve always thought the mirages looked really cool and they’re really cheap, on top of that I’ve heard that they get really good gas mileage, my only concern is the speed and torque, is it usable for highway driving and how scary is it merging onto the highway on these, I’ve heard horror stories about how dangerous these cars are, I want one but I don’t know if it’s worth it just for good gas mileage, so to put this simply would this be a good car to own alongside my GR Corolla

Learn from my mistakes!!! Service your transmission at least every 30k! ~50k when I started noticing shifting irregularities. Was given maybe bad advice to not change the fluid at that point and to drive it until it fails. 65k is when it became non operational. Good news is the replacement cvt has 16k miles on it. Drives like a champ now!

Driver power window kaput, spindle that moved the regulator got worn out. Gemini said it's doable. YouTube had different videos

Most difficult part wasn't anything about the window mechanism, it was getting the interior panel back in place!

A new motor cost me about $60 usd.

Tools needed are philips screwdriver and 10mm socket. Was easier than I thought it would be.

Looking to buy/trade an exhaust in SW Florida, the pipe after the secondary cat rusted off in like 3 places, hoping for someone scrapping theirs that they could trade me the secondary cat and everything back, I can put some cash on top or buy outright but I'm hoping to avoid the cost of the cat by trading my good but broken unit.

I can't find a concrete answer to this one so I figured I'd post out here.

I've got a 2024 Mitsubishi Mirage SE. It came with some Bridgestone ECOPIA 175/55R15 77V tires. I'm pushing right around 25,000 miles here and I'm getting close to the point of needing tires. I don't know what's up with the tires that came with mine, but they weren't the greatest from the start. So before I get to that point. I want to look in to get some replacements. Slightly larger, I assume? Or at minimum something more readily available.

I'm seeing a bit of conflicting advice and 185/55R15s seem way more readily available. Can I swap to that size? Is there more specific preferred size? What would an ideal load index be?

If youve seen my posts, you know ive been trying to figure out this transmission issue for a WHILE now....

Ive been determined to figure out the issue because I really didn't believe it was actual mechanical failure, because when it works it works well, and literally zero shavings on the magnets, and I think my determination has finally paid off!

The issue this whole time was just a loose connection where the transmission ties into the rest of the wiring harness, the funky circle shaped connector... if youre randomly having issues, definitely wouldn't hurt to check their as well, cheers!
