A few months ago, I visited Qin Han Duyun Studios – where The Untamed was also filmed. I was really surprised (and happy) to see how much of The Untamed is still shown here! Even though The Untamed was released in 2019 – 7 years ago, its still very much alive, present, celebrated and loved to this day. Yay!!!

Now, let me explain what I’m showing you.. consider this an exclusive “Behind-The-Scenes Tour of Qin Han Duyun Studios for The Untamed”!

SLIDE 2 & 3: Outside of the studio, are several huge displays showcasing many of the cdramas, movies and reality TV shows filmed here. The Untamed is mentioned several times! I found it really interesting how only The Untamed metal panel has faded...

SLIDE 4 – 8: As soon as you enter the studio (pass the ticket scanning area), on the left, is a hanfu rental store with several The Untamed posters on the walls (inside and outside), as well as character cut-outs…

SLIDE 9 – 12: There’s a hall with cdrama memorabilia, information and some merchandise! WWX and LWJ costumes are in the big glass cabinets = amazing!!! With the ceiling lights, glass reflection and small walkways, it was difficult to take good, clear photos and there’s staff monitoring the merchandise area so I didn’t take any photos of the products.. sorry.

SLIDE 13: this is what one of the restaurants look like inside. I think the owner must be a huge fan! Even the menu refers to the main actors haha NOTE: I didn’t take all of these photos. Some are from Trip.com app reviews and as you can see, there’s a display that has changed quite a bit over the years… When I visited, the restaurant staff were “watching me” so I didn’t feel comfortable taking lots of photos here. There’s actually more memorabilia in this restaurant like posters, magazines, postcards, photocards, plushies, magnets, etc. Sort of a shrine to WWX and LWJ / XZ and YWB. I browsed for a bit then continued exploring the studio...

SLIDE 14 – 17: I’ve added photos from the Trip.com app reviews to show you some of the things that I didn’t see but other visitors saw over the years... It also seems the studio often changes (relocates and redesigns) the displays according to events, festivals, for any cdrama being filming on site or for set renovation purposes. This means, every time you visit the studio, it will be different!

SLIDE 18: I compiled this because I LOVE the song “Wu Ji”无羁/ Unrestrained. It melts my heart every time I hear it and I listen to it every day!

SLIDE 19: I’ve been looking for a full cast photo / image / poster and cannot find one online. I found these promo images on MDL. Does anyone has a full cast photo??? Please share! I just want to add it to my album, for personal use.

NOTE: some photos may appear a bit blurry as I’ve cropped and zoomed in as much as possible to focus on The Untamed stuff.

Now, as I took so many photos (nearly 800 photos around the studio because many popular cdramas were also filmed here), I decided to “match up” my photos with the filming locations of The Untamed cdrama. Over the next couple of weeks, I will upload a total of x6 posts that showcase the following:

POST 2 & 3 = The Untamed Museum. OMFG! Yes, there’s a “little museum” dedicated to the cdrama! And some merchandise…

POST 4 = filming locations for Buyetian / Nightless City / Nevernight of the Qishan Wen Clan, Jinlintai of the Lanling Jin Clan and Residence of the Yueyang Chang Clan.

POST 5 = filming locations for the Cloud Recesses, Library Pavilion & Forbidden Room of the Gusu Clan.

POST 6 = filming locations for the Qishan Indoctrination Centre of the Qishan Wen Clan, Tanzhou City with the Inn & Marketplace and Yongxian Tower (the storyteller restaurant).

Okay,look this isn't a JC bashing post,this is more about a speculation of mine.

Throughout the Novel, Jiang Cheng shows a lot of traits, such as a lack of empathy,he's hot tempered,he's insecure,he's obsessive (Dude hunted Wwx for THIRTEEN YEARS !) and there are many times where he comes across as self centered.He acts entitled towards WWX. (He also has a lot of trouble communicating with woman ,which lead to the Female Cultivators Blacklisting him ! 🤣)

I don't think he fits the traditional definition of a narcissist , and he definitely shows a lot of concerning traits throughout the story.

Anyways,that's what I thought,what do you personally think ?

Looking for fics where Wei Wuxian is not found by any major clan. Nor is it a crossover​.

I have seen some with HuaCheng, but I want non crossover, not adopted Wei Wuxian.

Things like How his life was like on street, etc.

Works if he is adopted by some people we don't know from canon. Just not adopted by major clan.

Any fics on Lan Sizhui not being adopted or even raised by Lan Wangji, at least not as a inner disciple?

Am interested on how a young Sizhui would go from the examinations to outside disciple, would be an interesting premise on how Lan Wangji would react once he figures an outer disciple happened to be his child.

Edit: By adopted I meant into the Lan Clan -essentially, given that he is an inner disciple and is essentially LWJ's ward. Essentially, fanfiction tropes where Lan Sizhui has a different standing in the Lan Clan

I'm looking for YZY redemption arc fics. I read one that was YZY POV, modern setting where WWX is SA'd and she takes him to the hospital and the police station, which was nice and angsty, and a good fic. But it didn't end with a resolution, more like change is necessary and ongoing and this is the first step on that new path.

What I'd like is to read a YZY redemption fic, any setting, but from the POV of one or more of the Yunmeng trio and it kind of tracks how far she's come from the raging bitch she is in canon, to possibly being a nice, supportive mother, MIL, and grandma (or not, she doesn't need to end up maternal, just aware of her abusive behaviour and changing it). It doesn't have to be the main plot of the fic, could be like a side plot, like in Sami's The Same Moon Shines, but the thing about that that doesn't fit my request is it's a time travel fix-it, so YZY technically only changes after damaging the children. It would be nice to read her changing her behaviour well before things go down the toilet so spectacularly.

The plot: Lan zhan let wei ying leave and continued on as chief cultivator. While wei ying was just trying to live on, he got attacked pretty badly and another universe lan zhan appears, who had lost his own wei ying and has been trying to desperately find any wei ying. He was dressed in dark robes and no forehead ribbon.

so i once read an ao3 fic years ago maybe 5 years ago of wangxian where the story is happening after the main official story ends
and lan xichen is in seclusion and i don't remember correctly but i think lan xichen and jiang cheng were a couple in it (maybe)
then um wei wuxian got pregnant and the doctor says something about yin and yang and how it's due to this and his demonic cultivation method he got pregnant
oh yea lan zhan also went far away to some mountains where there was this big ancient library and the he knew the people there and he came back with a young man(the disciple to the one who took care of the library for decades) who worked there
oh yea sizhui, jingyi and the other lan disciples were in charge of helping wei ying with tasks and stuff
then wei wuxian gave birth to their child
the next few chapters there were a few time skips and shows us that lan zhan got wei ying pregnant again and again and they had 10+ kids(i think about 12 or so)
plus they adopted lan sizhui too
i don't remember if it was completed or not and i don't know any of the tags or the name of the fic or author

PLEASE HELP ME FIND IT!!!
