Loving my new engagement ring setting! I decided to change my ring after 4 years and Ive always had mossanite(from mossainiteco) and I love it!! But this time though I bought a 3ct Mossanite from Amazon for $60. Had it authenticated at the jewelers and then set it in my custom rose gold semi mount I had custom made from an Etsy seller that I love. I mixed some Tiffany elements into the setting. In love with it!! Who said you need to buy an expensive stone from the specialty retailers! 💞💞💞

Hi everyone! I’m currently in the process of designing my ring and just received the CAD. I would love to get your expert eyes on it before I approve the design. I've attached the CAD file for reference.

Here are the details:

• Ring Size: US 4.5
• Metal: 14K Yellow Gold
• Center Stone: Oval, 9.75 x 6.6mm
• Design: Side stone clusters with a tulip setting detail in the gallery.

My inspiration is a combination between Cullen's Bella (pic 2) and Frank Darling's Cathedral Royale (pic 3). I have a couple of specific concerns I’m hoping you can help with:

1. Band Width (Currently 1.8mm): Since the center stone is fairly large, should I bump the pre-polish width up to 2mm to ensure it’s durable enough for daily wear and doesn't spin too much? Will it be disproportionate to the smaller stones?
2. Setting Height (Currently 5.5mm): I don't personally have any preferences, but is 5.5mm too low? I know a flush straight wedding band might not be possible with this basket shape anyway, but I want to make sure the stone has enough clearance.

Are there any other structural issues or red flags you see? Thank you so much in advance for your help!

I really would love some advice on the CAD! I am also still waffling on the side stone(s) being DEF moissanite vs sakura pink sapphire and would also love some input. If this post isn't allowed, I apologize and will take it down!
