Please ensure that your posts meets the requirements of r/Mold - rules are clearly listed.

Most importantly, remember that providing the following information will greatly increase the quality of responses:

  • Include your geographic location - include a country and state/province location such as: US-PA or UK-EN or Canada-Que
  • A description of the location of any suspected mold growth and affected materials
  • A brief description of your concern
  • A summary of what you have done to remove or remediate the mold
  • A summary of the conditions that you think might be contributing to your problems
  • A timeline of events
  • Please use proper grammar and spacing

Also remember that we can't identify mold from a photo - only a laboratory can determine the species. Don't ask.

And finally, in case you missed it: DON'T POST PHOTOS OF DIY PLATES

Based on your other post, you're a student renter in the US somewhere.

It is definitely your landlord's problem, but you have to live there and breathe so I'd work on mediation and get a dehumidifier to keep it from getting worse, and also look into getting some tenant advice about how to approach this with your landlord.

Thank you, am I okay to live there now? I’m freaking out because I feel like the only sane one in the house. There is 5 of us and 3 don’t care at all, and the one is going on a rampage about leaving, while it will affect all of us. The landlord is so dumb, that on the lease it is saying that the ppl in the house r responsible for the rent even if someone leaves. So if I leave, the three of them have to take up my rent, AND find someone else.

Also, I feel overwhelmed by not knowing exactly when ppl r coming in and out of the house (my landlords ppl) like ppl who work for him, he doesn’t give us a heads up when random strangers are in our house or have them even knock. The 4 people I live with are beyond stupid just have no idea what is going on and it feels like I am paying to be a parent of these people. It’s so stressful on top of everything else
