Question When did the University Hall second floor lounge become honors only?
That was my spot to chill and do work for the past 2 semesters. Everywhere else is always packed with people 😭

I've never ordered a package to campus before. It's not Amazon. I saw it was delivered last night, so I'm just curious if anyone has any idea how long until I can pick it up?

Montclair has always been my dream school (yes, really, dont judge 🤣) and i got accepted through the early bird admissions. the major i picked is family science and human development with the child lifespan development concentration because as far as i understand it thats what i gotta do to eventually be in the early childhood ed program.
anyone else on here whos doing that same path and can tell me about the classes?? i also just wanna hear from any student giving me reasons to commit or not commit, ive been hearing alot of negative stuff lately and wanna get real live student opinions 👍

To celebrate the start of the academic year, we're offering 50% off tickets to all MSU students! Just use code "MSU" at checkout and bring your student ID (or other proof of enrollment) to display at the door. Tickets are available here- please spread the word, I hope to see you there!

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew how many tickets we got for the winter commencement? I know it’s early given that they haven’t even given the solid dates for the 2027 winter commencement yet, but I feel like i’m not finding enough information in advance to be able to solidly tell any of my family members whether they could come or not or when the official date is. I saw something from a previous year’s commencement saying that it was first come first serve, but I’m confused whether that means with or without tickets. If anyone has been through this and knows whats up please let me know!

Please do not consider getting a degree in IT at Montclair State. Their curriculum for IT is literally the same as if you were to major in Comp Sci, which is why you can easily get a minor in it as well. Most professors (not all) in the CS/IT department SUCK. It’s better to learn on your own.

Looking to Start a Hindu/Indian Student Club! 🕉️🇮🇳
Hey everyone! Would anyone be interested in helping start a Hindu/Indian student club on campus?
The goal would be to create a welcoming space for Hindu and Indian students to meet people, build a community, celebrate festivals and culture, and organize events together. Everyone interested in learning about or being part of the community would be welcome!
We only need 7 students + a faculty advisor to get the club started.
If you’re interested in joining or helping get it started, DM me! 🙏

I haven’t been able to submit my student ID photo until today. And i know many buildings need ID to access.
Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get theirs? Or If I should email anyone?
i think the building my classes are in tomorrow needs ID access. I’m going to be standing outside waiting for someone else to go inside like an apartment creep.

I’m a commuter and unfortunately due to where I live busses don’t run as frequently as I would like and it looks like I’ll be arriving on Campus at 6:15-6:30am. I called and spoke to someone at RHC and they told me nothing opens till 8! Is this true?! I just need a place indoors to sit and eat my breakfast maybe do some homework. I really hope this isn’t the case :( Can anyone confirm?

Does anyone know anything regarding the housing policies in concerns to damages? I’m kind of stressed out because I’m being charged $7000.00 to replace every piece of furniture (mine and my roommates) from my dorm last semester, but I tried to appeal it and it was denied. I just need more information on the basis of how they assessed the furniture and decided it needed to be replaced rather than deep cleaned or restored, I was informed the damages are from my ESA leaving an odor in the dorm even though he did not impact the majority of the furniture. If anyone knows anything or who I can reach out to, please reply to this comment. Even financial guidance would be helpful! I don’t want to have to drop out of college!!!!!

Hi everyone! I'm new to MSU (transfer + junior) and I was wondering if there was anything cool to look at near the campus? I heard there's a shuttle that goes to Bloomfield, is that free? If so, are there any cool places in Bloomfield, too?
P.S. I don't have a car!
What about nature-y areas, like large parks or nice views? Or any place on-campus to socialize? What about cool areas off-campus? Could I have more info about this place called the Meatlocker? And do people go to parties off-campus? Any info would be amazing, thank you! :)

Is anyone else getting less NJ TAG than last year?
This fall semester mine was reduced by nearly $1000.
I wasn’t sure if I was the only one or if other people were dealing with it too.
My SAI is still the same as last year and for Pell grant I’m still getting the same amount.
I know there’s a lot going on with the government and financial aid.
Also, another thing did anyone get their invoice for Fall 2026 yet?
I know you get them on the 1st and 15th of each month but I didn’t get any at all for August. Last one I got for Fall 2026 was end of July.

The semester starts friday and im becoming a junior this year and i really haven’t made any friends yet. There were multiple times i made friends through classes but after the semester is over we’re strangers again. this post is just to ask how can i really make friends because it seems like this campus is really dry since it’s mostly a commuter school. i joined some organizations but most of the clubs dont really interest me or im exclusive to those groups. Is there any other ways to make friends around here?
