Virtual Monitor/Dummy Dongle setup

Finally, after fiddling around with a cheap Google TV stick, a Switch 1, and even a PS4 with the new unofficial Moonlight version that came out recently and none of them being quite there, I just bought a hub for my Steam Deck and docked it to ny TV using ethernet. To no one’s surprise, it works flawlessly! Almost no latency, great image quality, finally I can stare at my backlog and not play anything but in the comfort of my couch! Also streaming to an iPhone 13 through different networks using Tailscale works surprisingly qell, cannot wait to try more of that. I use a PC with Bazzite as the host, which I gotta say, installing Sunshine through the normal installation method there was kinda horrible, ngl, and doesn’t quite work very well, installing the .rpm package ended up being the better solution.

The only thing I gotta figure out now is turning off both monitors of my PC when connecting. I know how to do it, and I tried using a DisplayPort dummy dongle and a virtual monitor and both had very low latency, really good image quality, the dummy even could have custom resolutions to match the 16:10 aspect ratio of the Deck when unplugged! But both ways for some reason have this micro-stutters where the screen freezes for half a second and it’s SO annoying, istg. If there’s someone who can help me with this, i would appreciate it, A LOT. Preferably, using the dummy dongle.

Make sure "auto input change" on the monitors is off. The checks can cause interrupt pauses
