Big one: the episode order migration is in full swing.

Some shows have always been a little broken in Movie Paradise because of how TMDB numbers them. Anime seasons squashed together, specials in weird places, orders that don't match how anyone actually watches. I'm fixing that by moving affected shows from TMDB to TVDB episode data, show by show, starting with the most popular titles.

Already migrated over top 1,200 shows and anime.

Along the way the switched shows gained over 6,500 episodes and specials that TMDB never had at all.

Your watch history and progress carry over automatically, you don't need to do anything. Two things you might notice: newly gained episodes arrive unwatched, so a show you finished might show a few left to watch. That's new content appearing, not your data disappearing.

It would be really nice to have a "watched by" tab to see all of my friends watched movies/tv show and see accurately which episode they stopped on

Because I like to check who someone is. I sometimes recognize someone but dont know the name. Sometimes there aren't Guest Stars found. I understand that the app doesn't know every actor who ever played in one Episode of long running crime shows but in this specific episode its weird, bc Matthew Lillard is in this episode and he's very well known. So, how does this feature work?

I was thinking it would be interesting to add a character-based search feature. For example, if I searched for Thor from the MCU, I’d be able to find every movie he appears in without having to check Chris’s filmography.

Also, I was thinking it would be nice to have an option to see the total runtime of a show or an anime.

Hi, I'm new to the app and loving it, just some nitpicks and I don't know if this is already implemented.

Is there some way to add seasons and TV Shows to the Watch History? For example I just finished Chainsaw Man but I would like the season to appear like the episodes. For example Chainsaw Season 1 and my rating and also the TV Show, as I already finished the full series I would like it also to appear just Chainsaw Man and the rating.

Could we have more control over which titles appear in Smart Lists and Discovery?

For example, if a Smart List keeps showing a film I have no interest in, I'd like the option to manually hide or block it so it doesn't appear again.

Could we also have more sorting options for lists, such as sorting alphabetically, by rating, age rating or release date?

It would also be useful to have filters to exclude titles that are already in our library, have already been watched or have already been rated.

This would make Discovery and Smart Lists much more useful by showing more titles I haven't already seen, rated or added to my library.

does anyone have the same issue where the widget does not automatically update when a new episode of a show is released? it only updates if i open the app

First and foremost, you have done a great job with your app!

1. How exactly does the score shown on the covers work, and how is it calculated?

2. I would also appreciate being able to use your score as a filter under discover, instead of TMDB. Combined with the number of votes, it would make it much easier to find highly rated movies and TV shows.

3. It would also be extremely helpful if the score filter could be used for Trending, Rising, Popular, and similar sections as well. Basically, it would be great to have it available everywhere.

4. And hiding the movies/shows that I am tracking.

5. iCloud would be great, too.

I think I have some issue with the 'next episode' showing on my homepage. It shows always the first, oldest ​episode​ after the ones I watched. It should show the one directly after the one I most recently watched.

My settings are OK (see pic). If I change the 'next episode order' setting to the other option it always shows the very first episode: s01e01 or e00.

Is there a way to automatically default to today when marking something as watched? I hate the popup screen that comes up. It's fine when the eye press works but when I do it that way it's hard to get to the comments

I have a show in my Paused tab and marked two episodes as watched, thinking that would automatically move it back to Watching, but it hasn't.

Could this be changed so that when you mark an episode as watched, if the show isn't already in Watching, such as if it's in Paused, Dropped or Been a While, it automatically moves back to Watching?

Could you also make it so we can move a show directly to Watching from any Tracker section? For example, if a show is Not Started, Paused or Been a While, I'd like to be able to move it straight to Watching.

The reason I'd like this is to remind me that I need to watch it. If it's in Watching, I'll see it and know that it's something I need to watch.

sorry for possibly stupid question, is there a setting that adds shows/movies to "to watch" automatically without having to select that option manually? I was looking through the settings but couldn't find it, and 99% of time that is the option I want to select when I add stuff to the library.

I've tested nearly 40 iOS apps over the last week, and yours stands out as one of the best.

l almost bought the lifetime plan, but full iCloud sync is the one feature holding me back. Ideally, it would sync everything, including settings and tracker data.

Any chance this feature is coming?

I really like y'all's app, it's been great since TV Time died! The only thing is that I had to disconnect my Trakt account because when it would sync it did not sync the changes I made in your app, it would only take stuff from trakt and make shows have multiple watches in several episodes of shows I had already finished. So the trakt syncing isn't working both ways.

Plex has one niche thing I like: for some content, such as the series *Friends*, it will play the main theme song when you open the page.

Could we have the option to create folders and sub-folders for Lists?

Right now everything just sits as separate lists, which gets messy once you've got a lot of them. Folders would make it way easier to keep related lists together and organised, especially if you've got a big library.

For example, I could have a Marvel folder with sub-folders like MCU, X-Men, and Spider-Verse, each holding their own lists. Or DC with sub-folders for the different universes.

u/Croco_Grievous, I stumbled onto movieparadise.app/history today while exploring the new webapp, and found some anomalies.

Firstly, I can't find any corresponding part of the mobile app. What's the purpose of this page, and how does it differ from movieparadise.app/profile > Activity?

Secondly, except for an episode I just watched tonight, literally everything in there is listed under the header AUG 14, 2026 (which is roughly when I logged into the webapp for the first time) — but everything in there...

• Was added so long ago, I'm pretty sure I wasn't using MP at the time
• Was deliberately added without a date...
• When I drill down into each episode, they all actually do have a date — 1970-01-01

I'm guessing the 1970-01-01 thing is an artifact of logging a watch without a watch date into a system (Trakt) that wasn't designed for that, and that date was used as "cheat code" by whatever dev built whatever app I was using at the time (probably Ava Assistant).

I'm guessing the fact that shows I marked as watched so long ago are dated 2026-08-14 — in this page only — is an artifact of those several titles/episodes being in some kind of limbo state that somehow got mishandled in an event trigged by my first webapp visit.

But assuming all that, why does this page include 251 episodes I marked watched without a date, plus one episode I just logged 10 minutes ago — and literally nothing else?

FYI, movieparadise.app/profile > Activity is accurate, in both the webapp and Android app, listing all the episodes I've actually watched recently.

BTW, shows I'm watching out of order have those great intermittent progress bars when viewed in the Season tab on the shows themselves, but in movieparadise.app/tracker, they have a solid, cumulative progress bar.

If we could follow production companies and actors and receive notifications about their upcoming and newly announced films?

For example, I could follow Marvel Studios or an actor I like and get notified when a new film is announced, added to the database, gets a release date, or is coming up for release.
