Advice AZO Bladder Control

Has anyone tried AZO bladder control to help relieve urgency? I don’t have any accidents but I do have minor leakage to where I have to wear a liner at all times. I go to bathroom every 30min to hour and it is so frustrating. I cannot go anywhere without bathroom anxiety. I’m going to take an international trip in a few months and I’ve literally watched tik tok on where to find public restrooms in this country and have mapped them out on Google Maps. This is something new for me and kind of defeating. I’ve tried oxybutynin and it makes my brain fog tremendously worse and didn’t really help my symptoms. I figured I’d tried maybe a more natural method as im not sure I want to experiment with other meds yet or try Botox. Or if there are any other natural methods you’ve tried that have helped.

I’m struggling to give up caffeine because of my fatigue. I cannot get through a work day without it or else I probably wouldn’t be able to function to have a job.

I have been in your exact postion, including the trip related bathroom anxiety. I havent tried AZO but Have you tried solifenacin? That helped me a lot. Also long term, pelvic floor therapy was life changing. I had the same issue and chalked it up to ms, and it turns out it was a mix of both that and a tight pelvic floor. I was even able to stop taking meds for it and now its very manageable.

I’ve looked into pelvic floor therapy and thought about it myself. This is even more reassuring. I looked up Solefenacin and it sounds very similar to Oxybutynin but I’d be curious to see what my neurologist says about it.

Both are worth a try at least, to know youve tried all the options for such a life effecting issue would give peace of mind if anything. I was prescribed the med before any tests were dont and was referred to a pelvic floor specialist from my urologist after ruling out some non-ms related urology issues and they decided to do a pelvic exam. Which is odd because ive had plenty of pelvic exams at the gyno and no one mentioned that as an issue. Anyways, highly recommend both and I hope you get some relief and can enjoy your vacation. Funny tho- Im an american that was traveling to Europe and iwas so dehydrated I didnt even need the bathrooms I researched ahead of time 😆

Haha, maybe that will be my case but my body loves to tell me when I’m dehydrated. I’m an American as well but will be going to Asia this time. This will be my first long haul international trip since being diagnosed. 14 hour flight, got the aisle seat. Previously a die hard window seat gal. 😂 literally feel like I have to plan around my bladder. I see my MS specialist in September so will definitely bring up these options to see what they say. If I can even improve from going every 30min-1hr to every 2 hours, I will take it.

I truely believe you will be able to get past this! I have been in your shoes and it is so physically and mentally stressful but hopefully after your appointment you can be heading in the right direction. If what your neuro suggests ends up not helping maybe get a urologist referral

I didnt even know they had a bladder control medicine, but ive had their uti relief med before and it was pretty good until the real meds kicked in. I would probably trust them, after talking with my doctor.

I tried oxybutin. Worked for a while then didnt. I tried myrbetriq. Same thing. Pelvic floor therapy helped the most....I still have the meds abs only use them whenever I need to. But they made me dry/ constipated ish. I also take d mannose daily to combat uti. And super provitassium for pots symptoms and that seems to help also. Good luck:)
