They care an awful lot about women's sports when talking about the imaginary trans kids in sports issue, but you never hear them talk about extra finding for girls' youth sports or Title 9 protections. Isn't that funny, that girls' sports must absolutely be protected from trans kids, but attacked in all other contexts?

Absolutely. And this treatment you're referring to isn't even exclusive to the right wing not jobs either. Girls sports have long struggled for support on multiple fronts for generations. The school district where I once taught had a decade-long battle to recognize cheer as a sport rather than an activity.
