I spent the last ten months building a new product company for composers and music producers

I’ve spent nights and a lot of weekends over the last ten months slowly chipping away at a new product brand.

The sounds, programming, GUI, store, visual identity, copy, file naming, and all the little pieces required to make the whole thing work.

It’s called The Foundry, and our second release is Echelon: Drum Hits, a Kontakt instrument built around the cinematic hits, trailer toms, stomps, claps, and impacts we’re constantly reaching for in our own work.

Honestly, the part I loved most wasn’t only creating the sounds. It was figuring out how everything fit together and building a visual identity that could grow into something much bigger.

People always say that being an entrepreneur means you need to delegate everything. They’re probably right, but building this felt like being a kid playing with Legos. It’s what I’ve done my entire life, just in different forms. I’m genuinely happy with what we’ve created and creatively fulfilled by the process.

If you want to check it out, the Foundry account is u/thefoundryaudio

First One Shot Drum Kit

Hey everyone! I recently released my first drum kit, all sounds were designed in serum. My aim was to make weirder/ more out of the ordinary sounds but still make them usable for most genres. It's free for 2 more weeks! If you're so inclined, would love any feedback. Enjoy!

im a noob producer and i’m trying to recreate Thoom’s “December Forever.” Does anyone know very specifically what type of synth she uses for the lead or could provide me with a description of its sound? I’ve been trying to recreate it for a while but I’m not too good at sound engineering

I built a small suite of audio plugins for producers. The launch prices are live now

Hey everyone, I’m the developer behind Sfoor Labs. I’ve been working on a small line of focused audio effects instead of making another giant plugin with 200 pages and too many controls.

The current lineup covers vocals, drums, delay, tape color, saturation, clarity and creative movement. It includes SL Air, Dirt, Echo, FLUX, Knock, Tape, Tune and VYCE.

Two bundles are on launch pricing right now:

SL Effects Collection: Air, Echo, Tape, Knock and Dirt for $29. The combined regular value is $110.

SL Complete Plugin Suite: all eight finished plugins for $79. The combined regular value is $250.

They are native Apple Silicon VST3 plugins for macOS. Supported iPhone and iPad versions are also available as AUv3 apps.

I tried to keep every plugin fast and direct, so you can actually make a decision in a few seconds instead of stopping the session to manage a complicated interface.

If you want to see the interfaces and full details, they are here:

https://sfoorlabs.com/plugins/

I’d genuinely like to know which one feels most useful to your workflow, and what you would want improved next.

Giving away 2 of my full vocals FREE to producers 🎤

I’ve got 2 complete male vocal packs that I'm giving away completely free if anyone wants something new to work with. 🙌
Both are:

🎤 100% human written & sung
🎵 Full-length vocals
📦 Full vocal stems
✅ Royalty-free for use in your productions

I'm a vocalist/topliner primarily working in EDM and electronic music, so these are proper toplines rather than just a handful of vocal chops/one-shots.

If you want both, you can grab them here:

https://vocalhut.com

Just enter your email and you'll get access to the two free vocals.

If anyone ends up making something with one of them, I'd genuinely love to hear what you do with it. 🎧

Ever wondered how many stems actually go into a professionally produced vocal? 🎤

Just finished a custom vocal job for a client and looked back at the Logic session thinking... that's a LOT of vocals 😆

This particular topline ended up with:

🎤 1 main vocal
🎤 6 ad-lib tracks
🎤 4 double tracks
🎤 7 harmony tracks
🎤 8 ooh/ahh tracks for a layered chant effect

Everything gets properly organised and delivered wet + dry, along with the lyrics and piano MIDI. For vocals I've produced instrumentals for, I can provide the full instrumental stems too.

I've put one of my finished vocals over the video so you can hear the sort of end result all those layers contribute towards. Sound on 🔊

I always find it interesting how something that sounds relatively effortless in the finished record can have a ridiculous number of individual recordings sitting underneath it.

Any other vocalists/producers here end up with sessions like this? 😂

Free Mixing/Mastering

See title

It’s simple, I’ve just been out of the game for a while and I’ve been getting back into making my own projects again but I’d like something else to fill up my time and, besides the fun of playing with music, want to be able to just connect with the musicians again at the ground level and have fun with it all again!

Let me know if anyone needs a polishing sheen to their music and I’d love to help you make it pop

I don’t need credits or kudos, let me just have fun with finishing off your final product for release and get my practice in again

New artist looking for someone to help with mixing/production

Hey, so I’ve recently started writing and recording my own songs, but I have basically zero experience when it comes to the production/mixing side of things.

I was wondering if there’s anyone here who’d be willing to help me out. I could send over the vocals and the beat, and I’d just love to have someone with more experience make it sound as good as possible.

I’m still pretty new to all of this, so I’d really appreciate any help. Feel free to DM me if you’re interested 🙏
