I spent the last ten months building a new product company for composers and music producers
I’ve spent nights and a lot of weekends over the last ten months slowly chipping away at a new product brand.
The sounds, programming, GUI, store, visual identity, copy, file naming, and all the little pieces required to make the whole thing work.
It’s called The Foundry, and our second release is Echelon: Drum Hits, a Kontakt instrument built around the cinematic hits, trailer toms, stomps, claps, and impacts we’re constantly reaching for in our own work.
Honestly, the part I loved most wasn’t only creating the sounds. It was figuring out how everything fit together and building a visual identity that could grow into something much bigger.
People always say that being an entrepreneur means you need to delegate everything. They’re probably right, but building this felt like being a kid playing with Legos. It’s what I’ve done my entire life, just in different forms. I’m genuinely happy with what we’ve created and creatively fulfilled by the process.
