Stone Mountain Loop

Hi all! Has anyone been to stone mountain recently, and if so, is the part of the loop by the falls stil unpassable? Thanks!

Still closed. The most recent information I could find concerning their progress comes from the 2026 Spring newsletter from ‘Friends of Stone Mountain’.

Per staff at the park, it should be reopening sometime in November.

You can go from the backpacking lot on the other side and go up the MST to Wolf Rock and Cedar Rock. It’s a great area to hike versus the trails in the main park.
