Hi so i recently accepted a bursary & the terms and conditions involve me to intern at the company if i am in a particular course.

But my course is not under the listed course but i am needed to ask the donor company for a written confirmation if i need or no need to intern there.

The email also stated that I will be e-connected with the donor organization after acceptance of the bursary.

May I kindly check how this e-connection will be arranged? Will I be contacted separately by the donor organisation or through NTU?

I indicated interest in two WSC portfolios and attended an interview for one of them during Week 2. It has been almost two weeks since the interview, but I have not received any updates yet.

For those who have gone through WSC recruitment before, do the portfolios usually inform you if you are not selected, or is it possible to simply not receive a follow-up?

If anyone has already heard back from a WSC portfolio this semester, would you mind sharing which portfolio and roughly when you heard back? Thank you!

The app has been down for me since last week, probably since its last update was on 22nd Aug.

Hello, asking for a friend here. He had a strange encounter at Canteen 2 yesterday morning (29 Aug, Sat), between 8–9am.

He brought two fully charged portable power banks with him. One was in use, while the other was simply resting inside his bag. At some point, both became unresponsive at roughly the same time and have not worked since.

The other devices he had with him are still working normally after being tested again at home, all except for the power banks.

There are electrical switchrooms below the canteen so we were wondering whether the unusual strong interference could theoretically have played a part. Also neither power banks was connected to a wall socket at the time.

Has anyone had any similar experience before at Canteen 2, or a
similar experience due to abnormal interference from rooms such as
switchroom.

Power Bank:

1. UGREEN 300W 48000mAh Power Bank, bought it 6 months ago.
2. Vention 5000mAh Magnetic Wireless, bought it a month ago.

As title mentioned, is it worth forking out $50 to buy a financial calculator for a bde that I will only be taking for 1 sem? It makes calculations much easier, but i wouldnt use it after i finish the mod.

This mod has been giving me so many problems from the start, but I'll try to keep it as short as possible because i don't wanna rant for too much. Firstly, on Inplace, even though there were multiple opportunities to serve, i only see maximum 5 or 6 per service learning placement, which i was quite sus about ah.

Secondly, esp during add drop, I've heard of many students not being able to add this mod to their stars timetable (even after the wonky first day of stars).

Third, the Inplace website was so wonky i wasn't able to register for the opportunity I wanted, and as the announcement stated I waited till noon before I tried to access the website, only to see not only east side opportunities left, but also only those which will die die clash with my timetable. So i no choice had to send the appeal form to CSL office

Come today and I didn't receive any reply from them, there are 0 opportunities on InPlace and in the announcement it mentions "If you do not hear from the CSL Office and have not secured an opportunity, you will be deemed to have dropped the course." I'm not sure about other mods but this is the first time I have to drop a mod not because I didn't try but because YALL CANNOT FIND A PLACEMENT FOR EACH AND EVERY STUDENT WHO REGISTERED?

It's so infuriating because it is a mod that we NEED to clear in order to graduate from my batch (AY 25/26 freshies), and it's going to get worse next sem with 26/27 freshies who want to clear this mod asap too.

I just hope they can increase the number of learning opportunities.

I was the 25/26 intake so CC0002 was already abolished for us and we were forced to take CSL to graduate. They made CSL so troublesome to clear and most of the InPlace volunteering opportunities have very unusual timings. I understand some people have some animosities against CC0002 but I would have rather cleared this in 1 semester than goong through the utter nonsense of CSL. (no problem against volunteering, but it’s how troublesome it is for us to clear a graduation critieria)
