I have so many comics here I’ve saved up ready to bring to artist alley for Peach!!!! I can’t wait for details on Remarque slots!

This will be by 8th NYCC, and I noticed ever since I started dressing up that my backpack space has become quite limited, especially since my prop needs its own carrying bag, plus my portable stool amongst other items I typically bring (drinks, snacks, etc). By the end of the convention I'm simply carrying everything in bags, and it makes purchasing anything a mad dash at the end of the day to the booths I can remember.

Currently I'm just using a regular backpack, so I'm curious if others have a backpack they bring to the con that would be a sizable upgrade without it being too bulky to prevent moving down aisles easily.

I typically go on Saturday, and this year will be no exception, so I'm expecting to be bouncing down crowded aisles like a ping pong ball

Artists like nick dragotta or peach momoko will def have insane amount of ppl going for autographs question is is that are they going to be under reservations on sept 14th? Or are they not gonna care and just have a massive unorganized line?

The reservations system for panels opens on 9/10.

The reservation system for private autograph sessions opens 9/14, closes 9/16, and we won’t find out if we got them through the lottery until the end of September.

So here’s the issue: the private autograph session I want on Saturday (Matt Dinniman) conflicts with the Star Trek Panel. I’d rather go to the Dinniman signing than the panel. But we make panel reservations long before we know if we got into the signing. Complicating things is that the Reservations page says once the panel reservations are done, you can’t make any changes.

So, what do we do? Are we allowed to make panel reservations with the understanding that if we get selected for a private autographing session we get to do that instead? I want to avoid picking a panel only to later find out that I didn’t get selected for the private autographing session because my schedule was already booked up. But I also don’t want to not sign up for a panel when I have the chance but also not win the private autographing session lottery. It would make sense to me that they would let you cancel panel reservations if you get selected for private autographing session, but they don’t say that anywhere.

Surely they’ve thought of this? I wish they’d put something on the site addressing it. But I’m curious if any of you have an answer or have reached out to customer service. (Or if my reading comprehension skills just suck and the answer is on the site.)

Was wondering, what are the chances we will get anything like this from the Square Enix panel at NYCC, or the cards they were giving at Gamescon, also will SE have they own booth or store in there? Im really excited to attend and would love if they give us anything honestly

This will be my first time attending NYCC. I just went to buy tickets today (Sept 1st), and these are my options. Obviously I’m past the expedited shipping date of 8/17/26. I’m based in the US, but why do I have to pay shipping if it’s pick-up only? I’m a little confused in the whole process and would love some guidance! Thanks in advance!

Hi guys! I’m looking for a bit of financial advice. I wasn’t planning on going to NYC Comic Con this year. Even though it’s always been a dream of mine, I just don’t really have the money to spend on something like that right now. But because it falls around my birthday, my friend surprised me with a ticket!

The only issue is that I still don’t have a ton of money to spend while I’m there. So for anyone who’s been before, do you feel like you need to spend a lot of money to have a fun experience, or could you realistically have a good time with a budget of around $100–$200? I’d really appreciate any advice or tips on how to make the most of the experience without spending a ton!

I’ll be going to NYCC for the first time this year mostly to meet and get signatures from the Clair Obscur voice cast.

But when it was announced that the cast of the FFVII Remake series will be doing a panel, I wondered if they’ll be doing autographs like the rest of the guests. Despite the panel being confirmed, the VAs in question don’t appear as listed guests on the NYCC website yet (a couple of weeks since the announcement). But I keep seeing ads that Signet Collectibles is taking preorders for their autographs at NYCC. I don’t want to go the Signet route; I’d rather meet them in person.

I don’t suppose anybody can know for sure if the information isn’t already up on the website, but should I expect them to be doing autographs, or is it likely they’re only there for the panel?

I’m just hoping somebody with more experience knows better what to expect given that I can’t seem to get a straight answer right now.

EDIT: As someone pointed out in the comments, the panel was initially posted on the official NYCC site, but they quickly took it back and replaced it with a less specific “Square Enix Panel.” Seems like the public was not supposed to know this would be FFVII-related, so they’re probably waiting until it was supposed to be officially revealed in order to list the VAs as guests.

First things first. When I'm talking about budgeting I mean purchases made on the show floor, or paying at the table for autographs on the auto hall or artist alley.

Most celebs on the floor or doing table signing in the auto hall usually fall in the $60 flat, $80 premium range. This was based on what I saw last year.

Comic book writers and artists in artist alley typically go from $10 to $50+ depending on how big of a name they are. Ex: Kevin Eastman carried $60 price tag the two times I got things signed by him. He also required you to get spot holder in the morning so you could get a spot on the line later that day for his booth in artist alley.

Typically what I do is I plan out what I want to accomplish each day ( I go multiple days to spread the cost). Then I plan out what it would cost each day. I usually add $20 to each price in case prices were increased from last year. I also add and extra $50-100 dollars to the days total in case something catches my eye, the extra cash I added helps cover that cost. I only carry that days cash total, and leave the rest in an envelope at home. When I get home, I clear out my back pack, reload my wallet with the next days cash.

When it comes to travel and lunch I put that on my card. I take the LIRR or the 7 train, so cost for tickets are paid for either via the LIRR app or my OMNI card. Lunch I hit the food trucks outside the Javits, I keep myself on a budget for $30-35. This usually covers a meal plus drink, sometimes I forgoe the drink because I carry 1-2 refillable water bottles.

Large merch purchases $!00+ plus are put on my card, and small merch purchases <$100 I pay with the extra cash for that day. I limit myself to 2 large purchases for the duration of the con and 4 small purchases for the duration of the con. Sometimes I hit all 6 purchases, but most of the time I'm taking home the extra cash and keeping in my wallet in case I need it.

It's my first time going to comic con. I kept hearing that you needed to sign up for a fan verification account or something to get comic con tickets, but when I googled nycc, I was able to buy tickets through the website itself without making any sort of profile or getting a link or anything. Did I do something wrong or am I overthinking it?

EDIT: I'm only buying a ticket for myself, so I won't need to be transferring it to anyone or anything like that.

Huge Bleach fan here and I’m so, so happy about how the Friday and Saturday tickets look (attending both days).

I was wondering if anyone has photos of Thursday and Sunday? I typically go all days, but last year was difficult since I’m in school. I can totally make time to go all days this year, and I especially really want the tickets if they are Bleach-themed like Fri/Sat.

Anyone have the regular tickets and willing to share a pic (obviously of the front art and not the back)? Thank you!

Is there anything early I need to be paying attention to if I don’t want to pay anything additional (I have a 4-day pass and am mostly interested in literary programming)? Or do I just show up and get in line for things?

I see bleach is the Friday and Saturday badge but have no idea what’s the cover of the Sunday badge is

I have a Thursday-Pro badge, and my wife has a normal Thursday badge, and both our badges have codes with only 6-digits. The NYCC website says it's supposed to be 8, our old badges from past years have 8, but both our badges that just got here for this year have only 6. I tried putting in the 6-digit codes for activation, and it says it's invalid.

Am I missing something?

This is my first comic con and I’m not sure what I need to bring to keep my comics and merch safe in my backpack! I already have a poster tube and I’ve been reading about comic book folders, does anyone have any recommendations? And then is there anything else I should bring?? I really want to take all the proper precautions to avoid damage to my items. Thank you!

What is the likelihood they are going to add more high profile guests? This is my first comic con and I’m honestly debating eating the cost and not going. I’ve just been disappointed so far.

Is it worth it to go on Thursday to NYCC?I usually go on Saturdays. Does the least amount of things happen on Thursdays? I'm looking to take my child and I see there are kid tickets for Thursday not Friday and Saturday is all sold out.

Hello! I am so sorry for the trouble for the question, but to anyone that commissioned remarques with multiple people, is it still the same price or is it doubled?

For example, if it says $500 for a headshot, and I'd like a drawing of a pair, would that make the final price $1k?

Totally understand that it could be a case by case basis, but just wanted to know anyone's experience with that!! (Want to make sure I save/bring the right cash amount lol)
