You are 1 bump away from stabbing yourself in the eye. I am also a crafter but there's such a big difference from sitting in a car or train and being on a dirt bike.

Agreed. It just needs a pothole or a wild animal running out at the last minute, and OP's off the bike.

And even with good, up-to-date safety gear, you can die from falls. It's worth accepting that risk for the bike ride, but there's no sense in actively trying to make the ride more risky.

So ..... I appreciate the attention to the craft ..... but this seems neither enjoyable nor safe.

Multi-tasking is not supposed to be basic mode. Guys, please take your time to savour your hobbies, to be active, to be still - not cramp in all at once.

This is so reckless, I hope you only did it for the video.

This gives me anxiety. I get the “make something out of your commute” while we are walking. But this seems as dangerous as any “driving without hands” will always be.

Oh, OP...not safe. You could easily wind up with that needle in your eye. Hit a stray rock or a bump/depression in the pavement you don't see, then crash.

Folks crash even with hands on the bars. Riding handless with a pointy object in your grasp is terribly reckless.

Enjoy your craft, but stay safe.

Yeah, don't do that. Even if you don't care about your own safety, no one else deserves to suffer because you aren't paying attention.

You seem determined to continue this for.. whatever reason. Just please don’t do it near others you could take down with you.

This gave me so much anxiety watching because I wasn't sure where to look .... Watch your hands to learn or the bike so you don't crash (logically I know that cannot save you from a crash that would have happened on a video, but my brain on the other hand.... 😂)

As a fellow cyclist... if i saw you doing this... i would lose it and not in a good way. This is headlong dangerous; maybe for walking but dear god i'd rather see cyclists like myself use audiobooks and stuff than see someone doing this even if you do have your front fork semi locked

Our family motto is: It’s only fun until someone puts out an eye.

"Not diagnosed but pretty sure"

But in seriousness this a cool demonstration of skill! Go you!

Wisconsin or Minnesota?

(Edit: UP or the Mitt near Mackinac as an outside bet)

I am both impressed and terrified. That music was way too chill for the action thriller I just watched.

Shoutout to the internet safety police for caring: please leave the bicycle-crafting to the pros (not that I think any kids are out here nalbinding on two wheels anyway), but after decades of riding, I'm fully confident in my craft—and if a crash ever takes me out, at least I'll die doing what I love, or worst case, walk away with a legendary scar.
