Thank you very much for all your suggestions but I decided that the best fitting name is definitely cleopatra (cleo). She has grown quite a bit in the last month and I will post more updates on other cat subs.

Hello! I recently foster failed with this handsome guy. The rescue uses the naming convention of a first name beginning with the same letter as the street they were found on. So, meet West Westminster, a Philadelphia street cat found eating out of a garbage can. Unfortunately, West conjures up images of Kayne West, and he’s not anyone who I need to be reminded of.

As you can see, he has a half tail that the vet thinks is a result of an injury. He is very expressive with it and thwacks it around to let you know how he’s feeling. He continues to be a food bandit even as he’s transitioned to a fully indoor, spoiled boy.

I’ve tried lots of W names, but none of them seem to fit. He’s not a Wesley, Warren, Woody, Waldo, etc, etc. I don’t feel the need to stick with the W. Of the dozens of random names I’ve tried, both Hambone and Short Stack are the two that I didn’t immediately hate, but I can’t commit to them.

So, any ideas for a stripey boy with a big appetite and a small tail?

Hes already named Figaro by the current owner but Figaro is on the top sphynx cat name lists and Fig is just a very popular cat name. I want something similar or nature-y but cant find something I like.
I enjoy names that can be shortened (Figaro to Fig)! What are your ideas?
Also not interested in names that are puns on how bald he is! Subtle references maybe but i want something more unique and unoriginal :)

Just adopted this handsome guy a few days ago. Me and my boyfriend are trying to come up with a name for him. The cat is 1.5 years old. Neutered male. FIV+. He’s very sweet but shy. He gives 10/10 head bonks and loves making air biscuits. He seems to feel most safe in the tub/bathroom while he gets used to his new surroundings.. I do bring him out for couch time and pets for a little bit in the evening. I have another cat. The whole reason I decided to adopt this cat is because I lost my soul cat in June and my other cat was very bonded to him. He was alone and seemed sad since losing his buddy. I figured so many cats out there need homes so here we are. I know it will take time until he feels safe here and my other cat accepts him. When he sees my other cat he gets excited and does a cute chirpy meow at him, my other cat is not ready and that’s ok it’s still very soon. So for now just being patient and hopefully we can come up with a permanent name for this guy. We are looking to name him a human male name if that helps. Thanks!

Help me come up with some ideas please? Usually I’m quick to come up with a name for an animal, but it’s been over a week and I still haven’t the faintest idea of what his name could be. Any thoughts?

Hi! So this is my first time owning a cat, the vet said he’s around 4-6 weeks old and I’m so excited to have him! I’ve had him for about five days now, and I really feel like I’m running out of time to find a name for him!!! :< I don’t have anything in mind, and I’m really open to any name, like literally any name! Like cute and whimsical names! If you have a name you’d think would suit him pls let me know! :D

We just lost my precious cat Simon last week and weren’t intending on getting another cat so soon. This past weekend we went to a wedding at a summer camp, and my 18-month old daughter started saying “cat” right away. We didn’t see one and thought it was odd because she usually only says that if she sees a cat. The next day, someone at the camp found this beautiful boy. He was injured and had lost his mama. Long story short, we felt it was meant to be and took him home! Nursing him back to health, but he’s doing great. Help us give him a name! Preference for human names, but we’re open.

I have 2 other cats named Bao and Dudu (mandu). I got her thinking she was a boy but surprise she’s a girl so i need a new name for her!!

We got this kitten a few weeks ago and we originally named her little bit but me and my boyfriend realized we say “a little bit” A LOT in conversation so we’re not happy with the name anymore. I’ve thought of a million names for her but nothing really sticks. She was born in a car shop and I have another cat named Skittles if that gives any ideas!
