Mod Weekly thread where you can call the music recognition bots without posting

To use the bots put u/RecognizeSong u/find-song with the link in your comment, like:

u/RecognizeSong u/find-song https://youtu.be/12345abcde

Notes:

  • The bots only work with a recording of the actual song, not a humming/recreation.
  • The sites that find-song works with: Reddit video posts (with a link or when summoned on the original post), YouTube, Vocaroo, Streamable, Twitch Clips (not VODs)
  • Some of the sites that RecognizeSong works with: Reddit video posts (when summoned on the original post or with an audio link if you're able to get it, like https://v.redd.it/12345/DASH_audio.mp4), YouTube (though sometimes it doesn't work), Vocaroo, Streamable, Imgur, Twitch Clips (not VODs), Facebook, Twitter, Coub, Dropbox, Snapchat
  • For Reddit video posts there's also u/songfinderbot which only works if you summon it in a top-level comment on the original post
  • Some sites that RecognizeSong doesn't work with: Instagram, Twitch VODs, SoundCloud, Google Drive, Reddit text posts with embedded videos (though it does work with the audio link if you're able to get it, like https://v.redd.it/12345/DASH_audio.mp4)
  • When needed, mention a timestamp or use a timestamped link if possible (the bots scan about 24-30 seconds of audio, starting at the timestamp)
  • If the song is from a meme or from TikTok then it might be listed in the FAQ
  • Note that you can also DM find-song a link (but not through chat)

Good luck with your search, and if you find the bots useful please consider supporting them: RecognizeSong through Patreon, find-song through Ko-fi

Indie "Lil Miss Understood" Song?

Hello! In the late 90s early 2000s there was a song about a waitress who wanted more from her life. The verse is about how she threw a drink in the face of her boss and quit to go follow her dreams. The chorus was that she was "lil (or little) miss understood". It had a vibe similar to upbeat blues traveler or upbeat counting crows. And, it was a guy singing. I have been looking for it for 20 years. Anyone remember a song like this?

Pop Description: Instrumental transition melody from a possible pop song or advertisement jingle

I’m trying to identify a song that includes this melody:

Synth recreation on Vocaroo

  • This is my recreation, not the original audio.
  • The notes, timing, key, and tempo may not be completely accurate, but the overall melody is close.
  • I remember it appearing during an instrumental break, bridge, or transition—not necessarily as the main chorus.
  • It may be from a pop song, but it could also be an advertisement or brand jingle.
  • I don’t remember any lyrics, artist, era, or where I heard it.

Any guesses are appreciated.

Songza has failed.
AI has failed.
Help me out humans.

I recorded this from a Maine radio station (91.9 fm) while in Baxter state park on 8/31/26 at 8:14am and can’t figure out what the song is. The audio is muffled because of a very rocky road.

Internet Video MV about a man and a woman getting into car crash

Upvotes

On YouTube, around 2013-2015, my dad often listened to a song whose music video showed a woman and a man driving a car and being involved in a car accident. I don't remember if they crashed the car into a tree or drove into a ditch, but from what I remember, the woman died and turned into a white ghost. The man survived and mourned her, meanwhile she was walking around in a ghost form

(maybe it's a false memory but I think she gave up her life to save his or resurrected him somehow when she turned into a ghost??)

I also remember that near the place where they had the accident there was a white gazebo or something similar.

The only thing I remember is that the quality of this MV was very low, it also had a clearly low budget, it was a song made by rather unknown artists and the whole thing was recorded in dark colors or completely in black and white. When I was younger I thought it was a very popular song, but when I rediscovered it in 2019 it only had a few tens of thousands of views, about 30,000. This song might be from the 90s to 2010, but I'm not sure.

Please help me find it. It's very important to me, thank you 🩷

A while ago I listened to one of my favorite LOFI songs but i can't remember the name, all I know is the the melody goes like how it is in the WAV file. I played the melody on my guitar for you guys to help me, I don't know if the melody is the same key but I know its the same movements. Please help me out, I miss listening to this song a lot! I may even PAY the person that finds this song just because I love it so much. Also I think the BPM is somewhere around 108 ish and I last listened to this song in like 2022.

Pop Kelsey's youtube ad song - "stop and smell the roses"

I've googled it but can't find out what it is. It's a catchy, jangly guitar-based song - has appeared in Kelsey's restaurant YouTube ads in 2026. The guitar riff goes for about 30 seconds, and then you hear the line "stop and smell the roses.." in that typical 'indie voice', and then the song/ad ends. I would like to hear this track as a whole as it is quite good and catchy.

May be Canada only because it's Kelseys

Electronic/EDM Italian song with Coca Cola in the chorus..

Upvotes

I was in a taxi in Italy and the driver started BLASTING this song and all I could make out were the words "coca cola" 😂 I think it was EDM or maybe hip hop, something with a strong party energy. Google has not solved the mystery so far. Any ideas?? My memory is fading!

Im stuck between edm and Pop for the tags so ill add it here

The lyrics as far as i can hear them are "Im with your mom and im smoking on this pressure"

"i know she really really likes it when im reckless"

I wont write the other lyrics they're a little crude but you can hear them in the link ofc.

Piano Piano instrumental, no voice, only have a remix

Upvotes

Hi everybody, I’m desperately trying to find out the original piano piece behind this video which sounds like a remix: https://youtu.be/EKOrHMY2Ihk?is=jHL6LZuxVPA5VRQ6

I couldn’t find anything using Shazam and other available apps/websites. I think I’ve heard that piano on some TikTok or Instagram reels but I cannot find a reel or a TikTok with that piano anymore… the video only has a 100 view or so, no description and no comments, so I couldn’t find any information…

Recreated all I remember in LMMS

I've searched through all my old music I kept from Orchestra and I can't seem to find the one this segment is from. I think it might be a modern orchestra song composed for schools, rather than something old/classical, though I'm not 100% sure.

Hip Hop Rap Snippet

I'm trying to identify this rap I heard somewhere on social media, I think it's from a local chicken restaurant commercial Idek what he says, I just heard a snippet of it somewhere, just this black guy over a creepy-ish off tune piano beat of him going something like "g. d. o. p. e. MAN.. g. d. o. p. e. MAN.. HEY" I'm just using the letters as rhythm because idk wtf he's saying but those letters sound similar to what he said if that makes sense
