If we're being objective it's a tradeoff because Sakura isn't strictly worse in the anime compared to the manga. She's certainly more inoffensive but she also lacks the high points the anime gives to her like with the Sasori fight, which in the manga was incredibly mid and have fewer moments for her to shine.

Same thing happens to every character including Naruto himself. Doesn't mean the good things it adds doesn't exist so this phase of trying to gaslight everyone into thinking the anime had it out for her is both strange and won't age well.

By that logic the anime had it out for everyone with decent screentime. The opposite of love isn't hatred but indifference and if you want to see an example of that, you should see how the Boruto anime treats Hinata: she's somehow even less relevant than before and if she'd died after having Himawari, nothing about the story would be different. Even making Naruto look like less of an asshole for not being there for his kids could be spun into a sad story how being around them reminds him of Hinata.

It's common knowledge that they specifically, individually did this to Sakura, and Sakura alone. Dunno what to tell you when it's factual.
