Pain Arc Naruto, War Arc Sakura and Itachi Pursuit Sasuke.

Given that Naruto looks almost exactly like Obito and they seem to have the same hair, if Naruto were to grow it out would he have the Madara hair?

So its been a couple of years since I finished shipuden, but a question has bothered me ever since

Why, WHY didn't Sasuke use Kirin after Indra's Arrow to finish Naruto? The only condition to use Kirin is having the weather conditions for it, as the jutsu requires no chakra. He had the best conditions ever to make the jutsu work. He could've probably created the biggest Kirin in history and absolutely blown Naruto to smithereens.

(He had a little bit of chakra remaining, but Kirin only uses natural energy/redirects lightning, which is clearly shown in the storm cloud/tornado, and even then, he could probably form it.)

So Sasuke should've won 110%.

Is this a massive oversight, or why doesn't he use it?

(I dont want to hear he didn't even have power in his body remaining, he brawled with Naruto until the sun set, formed Chidori, Amaterasu etc)

As the Naruto world advanced technologically, I’ve always wondered why no one explored the Akimichi Clan’s calorie-to-chakra conversion on a larger scale. What if Konoha’s scientists had studied that process with the clan’s consent and tried to develop nutrient-dense foods or supplements that help average shinobi store and convert energy more efficiently? This isn’t just about making stronger fighters. Chakra is the foundation of everything a ninja does. Medical ninja, sensory types, barrier teams, teachers, even support staff. Boosting baseline chakra efficiency could improve daily life and job performance across the entire village. Sure, the Akimichi techniques are clan secrets and may rely on unique physiology that others don’t have. But by the Boruto era, we’ve seen scientific tools and chakra research push boundaries that once seemed impossible. Even partial success could have made everyday missions safer, medical work more effective, and training more efficient. To me, it feels like one of the biggest missed scientific opportunities in the series. What do you think? Could something like this ever fit within the lore?

Sight: Very overused in the Anime, it's very hard to fight an enemy without making eye contact.

Hearing: Although rare it's also in the anime, maybe it's the most difficult to not fall into.

Smell: Likely the most effective counter against clans like Inuzuka and Hatake.

Touch: I imagine if a victim touch certain object they can't let go of that object by themselves and get stuck into an illusion.

Taste: It would probably require deceive skills to make someone eat/drink something they shouldn't, but once someone ingest that food it would be the hardest genjutsu to break free. Genjutsu specialists should be able to identify if a food is safe or not.

Rewatching Naruto with my stepson and actually didn't pick up on this the first time around. Early on when Naruto was learning the rasengan and finally got the basics down (power, rotation, etc but it was still really weak) he basically used one hand to move the chakra around.

When fighting Kabuto, he stopped the kunai attack with one hand, held him in place and then used a shadow clone to rotate the chakra and that's the first time he actually does a proper, fully destructive rasengan (pissed me off that Kabuto managed to have the medical ninjitsu skill to minimize the damage although he could no longer fight - but that's besides the point). Pretty much from then on, he always used a clone to form the rasengan.

Was this sort of a fluke in the heat of battle that led to an "aha" moment?

Imagine being being Kakuzu and being tasked to fight this "THING" in front of you only for the reason that you are their "ace". Then when you reported that you can't beat that monster you are tasked with, they punish you.

Were those elders unaware of Hashirama's full extent of abilities? Or were they so irate that they just wanted to lash out their frustration on somebody during their wartime?

What kind of FOOLS would BERATE and PUNISH their ace who "probably" did his best instead of assisting him and improve his skills? It's like you had Michael Jordan get injured after being hard-fouled by 5 guys during his dunk attempt, then you tell him how he could've made his shot if he jumped higher.

Come to think of it...Konoha Elders are also similar. I wonder how the kept their positions.

Lately I've been on a kick of reading and watching other people's ideas on 'What If' scenarios Naruto related or otherwise. To stay on Naruto theme here ( for obvious reasons ) sometimes it would be something like " what if naruto had a connection with Kakashi instead of Iruka at the beginning ( which I feel doesn't work..just the first thing that popped into my head ) and sometimes it's something absurd like " naruto is back in his youth but with all his memories from the whole series...though those feel more like fan fiction than anything.

Now. I couldn't remember some things so I got it in me to rewatch the series for a bit and I'm about to watch Naruto vs Kiba.

This got me thinking. How do you think Naruto would have fared against anyone else at that exact time? We can assume that no matter who he faced, he would be written to win. If the pairings had gone different how do you think Naruto would win each fight? First we already know how he beats Kiba...a complete accident. Not that naruto didn't do well against him but I highly doubt he would have won without plot armor. Then Neji. We know he wins but if he fought Neji instead of Kiba at that time then Naruto wouldn't have had the same mindset. He would have been his basic cocky loud self and would have gotten beat harder. I think he would have won relatively the same but it wouldn't have had the same message I feel. Do you think the fight would have gone relatively the same? What about against any of the sound ninja?

I'll give you a quick one. I'd bet anything that if he fought Ino he would have gotten hit by the mind transfer either from the get go or a trick like she did with sakura but the plot armor would probably have been her connecting with the Fox and getting kicked out. the rest is basic naruto fighting...shadow clones not working until naruto figures something out or maybe Ino's just too tuckered out from the failed transfer.

I see this quote usually getting hate, but it reflects the ideology of their world. The concept of Hokage is the product of a war time and people who had a vision to ally everyone under a same banner and maintain peace within one village

One of Naruto’s biggest strengths for me is just how much time it spends exploring the pasts of its characters and I don’t just mean Naruto and Sasuke.

So many characters get proper backstories where you see what they were like when they were younger, what they went through, who they lost and how all of that shaped the person you eventually meet. Pain is probably one of the best examples. Nagato started off as an innocent kid caught in a war that had nothing to do with him, lost his parents, then eventually found Yahiko and Konan and wanted peace. After everything that happened to him especially after Yahiko’s death that desire for peace became completely twisted into Pain’s ideology.

Same with Obito, before everything went wrong he was a kind kid who wanted to become Hokage and be acknowledged. Then you see exactly how he goes from that person to the man he becomes later.

Even side characters like Neji and Might Guy had real depth behind them. Neji’s obsession with fate makes much more sense once you understand the Hyuga branch family and what happened to his father. Guy seems like a comedy character at first but then you see his childhood, his struggles and his relationship with his father and suddenly so much about his personality makes sense.

Then there’s Hashirama and Madara, Naruto literally takes us generations into the past and shows them as children, losing their brothers during the war period and dreaming about creating a world where kids wouldn’t have to die fighting each other. That history eventually leads into the creation of Konoha and explains so much of what happens generations later.

Itachi is another obvious one. Seeing his childhood, his experiences and everything surrounding the Uchiha completely changes how you understand his character compared with when he’s first introduced.

There are so many other examples too such as Gaara, Kakashi, Rock Lee, even Kurama! All of them have very detailed backstories that explain their personalities, beliefs and relationships.

That’s probably one of the main reasons Naruto’s world has always stuck with me. Characters didn’t just feel like they appeared when the plot needed them. It felt like they had actually lived before we met them. It’s been a while since I finished the show yet i could still tell you the backstories of dozens of characters without even having to look them up.
