it feels like parts of this were written with the allegations in mind. loving it so far though. especially seeing named necrons from a human's pov.

I've had it unbuilt for awhile but since i already have so much terrain I was thinking of selling it...HOWEVER I then thought to myself. What if I cut it all up and used it for basing bits?

And I was wondering if anyone has done that for their necrons? My only worry is that the terrain is too big and cutting it up would make it impossible to tell what it is

I just hate the models. The heavy destroyer is okay. But can I run the Destroyer Cult loadout without any Lokhusts?

Specifically, if I'm running a group of immortals in canoptek court, and they have tomb crawlers attached to them, and the tomb crawlers die, is that unit still a canoptek unit for the purposes of the detachment? I'm 90% sure the answer is no, but I'm hoping someone will tell me I'm wrong.

So, I got this lethal shadow airbrush from my local game store. Let it charge for a while but it did not charge fully, start using it on my warriors but then not even halfway through it would: start spraying, stop, then start again. And the crazy thing is that the battery would still be ok and so would the paint. So I just want to know any good airbrushes that actual good painter know, thanks.

Sold my second army and bought some more Necrons for my little brother, with the caveat that I would get to build and paint them. Finished Ammentar the other day, really enjoyable and a nice break from my regular tsons painting.

I wanted to ask before I started building and painting mine if you all had painted the ruins and such before adding him or as a whole painted him? Is it a pain or is it alright to paint as a whole?

I kinda like how this image became so popular online for necron content for YouTube and other social media stuff. Artist was Nick Kay and I own the image (I commissioned it). Nice to see how popular it got.

My friend I play 40k with all the time is a super ultramarines fan so I got this made to tease him. Matches my old necron army paint job and has me kicking his smurfs butts. Was fun. Makes me nostalgic for the days when I was single and could afford to blow money on crap like that heh.

Hello fellow Phaerons of the other dynastys!

My first post in this supreddit and I am thankful for all the other posts of this model here because I really needed some inspiration in how to paint this model with all the details.

Now after taking so long to paint it I need to find time to play it :D

Hi! So far I’ve painted more or less half of my army (I don't have that many models) using a white and gold color scheme. I really like how it’s turning out, but in the meantime, I’ve come up with the idea of another scheme in black and silver (the fact that these two schemes are practically opposites is pure coincidence).

I really like both of them (although the latter is only theoretical at this point), so I’ve been wondering what it would be like to have an army split into two different schemes.

I know I can do whatever I want and that I can fit it into the lore of my dynasty in a thousand different ways, but I wanted to hear what others think since I'm not entirely sold on the idea.

Since the miniatures I’ve already painted are mostly Cryptek and Canoptek, maybe I could keep that white and gold scheme to give them a more noble look, perhaps even applying it to the Ovelords as well, while giving the Warriors, Immortals, and vehicles like the DDA the black and silver scheme.

I'm not worried about the eventual extra time and effort it would take, I'm a slow painter anyway and I'm not remotely in a rush to finish it.

I finally finished Illuminor Szeras and wanted to share the pictures, since its one of my fav. models.

Its just that the little green beam thingy on the staff broke off and the humans eyes could be better, but fine for someone getting turned into a ball i guess.

One last thung: the entire model looks darker irl, its just my camera really picking up that light.

it has sit, partially assembled and ready for priming for too long.

Next up is painting the base properly and adding scarab.

Do Necrons that succumb to the flayer virus become Flayed ones only? Or could I build an army where there are flayed ones that use weapons like normal Warriors and Immortals?
