Can it reach around 2000. Reinsurance, non life insurance, life insurance, rasuwa and nuwakot hydros are affected and are falling sharply. Also mutual funds are likely to be in losses as they have a diversified portfolio.

The recently damaged hydro’s losses will be covered mostly by insurances . Also Because single-loss claims exceed the capital limits of domestic insurers, the Nepal Insurance Authority (Nepal Beema Pradhikaran) and local non-life companies are coordinating with Nepal Re, Himalayan Re, and foreign reinsurance syndicates to fast-track preliminary advance payments for clearing and repair works.

Meanwhile for other hydros, its earning time:

Rest of the hydros can generate electricity at full capacity meaning larger revenues for them. In normal times , their production capacities would be curtailed by NEA because of demand not meeting supply.

When flood hits a certain hydropowers the shares pf that particular hydro company should fall while others hydro companies increase because thats new market for other hydros. Absolutely no reason for rest of sectors to react heavily and unidirectionally. Apparently according to this market every hydropower is owned by same company.

With the massive flood today, destroying approx 430MW from the grid, i.e abit more than 10% of Nepal ko total energy generation.

As a result this year due to low interest rates plus higher generation,yo flood bata bacheko hydro ko profits might be very high? But then today market ma flood le bagayeko nabagayeko sabai hydro ghatey.

Which are some of such hydro stocks jun ramro relatively low prices ma ahile Cha herirakheko aru?

I think lock in khulera baseko hydropowers at lower price not impacted by flood might be interesting

Which stocks I should sell I got -11000 loss due to this flooding most are hydropower stocks

Hey guys, 22M here doing a strict monthly SIP of Rs 10k–20k into stocks. 10-year horizon, pure aggressive growth, zero need for short-term liquidity.

I’ve focused my main portfolio on a core list of 6 scrips. Re-scaling just these 6 core holdings to make up 100% of my primary allocation, here is how the breakdown looks:

• SAHAS ~30% (200 units)
• MEN ~16% (120 units)
• CBBL ~15% (75 units)
• API ~14% (190 units)
• MNBBL ~12% (157 units)
• HDL ~12% (46 units)

Wondering if holding 6 scrips is too fragmented for a 15k–20k monthly SIP. Would it be smarter to trim down to just 3 concentrated anchors (like SAHAS, CBBL, HDL)? Also worried my Hydro exposure (SAHAS + MEN + API = ~60% of core) is getting way too heavy.

Thoughts on trimming vs keeping 6? Any obvious red flags?
