Help needed

I’m fairly new to the game 2 months into it and done fairly well so far. I went with a song blade cause I never played a bard in anything. Completed all the adventures and working on campaigns. My question is where is all the gear to help you lvl up? The campaign rewards have none and the stores are locked behind from what I assume are master runs. Dungeons and advanced dungeons ( ones that I’m able to do) seem to only drop low gear. Ive gotten this far thanks to the help of the Trade House.
May be a dumb question but only 2 months in. Any help would be appreciated. Cause using only ad to lvl up seems like I’m just buying my way. My lowest gear is weapons 1700. So that’s the main thing I’m looking for. Armor is fine thanks to the trade house, all 5700.
Song blade 84,631 (only thanks to trade house nothing found while running dungeons or campaigns.)

If you were doing the latest mod content the dailies slowly drop tokens to trade for ilvl 4700 gear

The weapons require participation in the frostbite stuff for that specific token

For me I’m not doing that cause I dunno I’m not hit thst organized so I went with the artifact weapons from previous mod

It sounds like you are doing ok with your ilvl

Refining enhancements will get you ilvl up also if you haven’t been doing that

I’m only 48k right now so you are frother ahead than me however I haven’t purchased gear from the auction house either

I think you can buy gear from advanced seal merchant with spider god tokens. They’re all 4100 on score and are decent. If you want better gear than that you have to run advanced me master dungeons (again you have to be strong to run them or have guild mates willing to help)

Go to Sergeant Knox in Protector’s Enclave (he’s standing next to the stairs). He should have a quest called Cold Call, I think it’ll have the word “Cold” in the quest name. That quest will take you to a place called Kaldrfisk on the Icewind Dale map, in the town of Reghed.

Once you’re there, do the story quests and weekly quests available in the area, and then farm the Heroics. These will give you the different types of currency you need for this map. Keep collecting enough tokens and then use them to buy the latest gear from the Campaign Merchant. These will be the Epic (purple) gear pieces.

If you want the Mythic gear, you’ll need to run the Master Jotunskar dungeon, or you can spend Astral Diamonds and buy the gear from the Tarmalune Trade House.

However, when it comes to rings, shirts, and pants, you can buy the Epic versions from the Campaign Merchant, but to get the Mythic and Celestial versions, you’ll have to run Master Jotunskar.

Let me know if you play on PlayStation. If you do, I can help you out.

You need to join an active guild/alliance to help you with in game progress. This is an MMO, if you are chasing any items/gears/progression, you must be in an active guild/alliance that provide support and help you! You can search for active guild/alliance from your friend list, ask them what guild/alliance they are in and if they are active. Always friend players that you had good runs with, esp. one that is social at start/end of dungeons/randoms, one that organize runs in PE /LFG or channel, talk to them, friend them and build a network of players you can socialize in game.

There are many ways to get gears, 1) Campaign store/vendor, 2) Seals gears, 3) Dungeons/trials, 4) AH (you can filter).

If you been casually playing for two months and ready to progress further, it is going to be a grind, take it easy, have fun and be social. An active guild/alliance make a world of difference to your gaming experiences.

For weapons, wait until you get to 90k item level to start soul collector. That campaign gives you the current best dps weapons for free.

How the game wants you to progress normally is by using seals of the spider to get some item level. Then hop into the newest campaign and get gear there from heroic encounters and the campaign store.

After that, you are suppose to find your next gear from advanced dungeons/trials and then after that master content.

This mod, you indeed also have been able to buy gear from the advanced and master dungeon of this mod. They are probably a bit pricey for what they offer, but uh you already bought it seems, so lets skip that part.

I can't know what you have done and what you haven't, but companion equip slots, artifacts and active mount slot and insignia set bonusses influence your damage a lot. So make sure to work on those.

A lot of it costs a ton of AD, upgrading companions and mounts cost a lot of upgrade tokens. For a free to play player, this might be hard to aquire as we mostly get it from lockboxes through tradebars. If there is a tradebar sale, every 2 tradebars = 1 upgrade token. You get some keys for free through the battlepasses, use those to open 5 lockboxes from each set. I think 80% of lockbox sets give you 250 tradebars after you opened 5 of that set. And saving up for astral lockboxes, as they are also a good source of tradebars.

To gain more AD outside of the 100k you can refine each day there are multiple ways. From farming advanced/master demonwebpits dungeon for crafting materials, playing campaigns to buy and sell enchantments from their campaign stores (especially mountain of flame has good ones), farming demonic rifts, doing the latest campaign and create keys for the dungeon you can sell on AH and many more opportunities. Gus Archer on youtube has covered different methods in the past that you can use if you are interested.

In case you haven't done this yet. Reapers challenges do them. With 30 of those seals you can buy a legendary account wide raptor companion. Every character currently uses that companions equip slot bonus as it provides up to 22.5% power to the entire team if everyone uses it.
