Seeing zero outrage for this outside of some political handles. News media covered it 25 days after it happened.

This happened in both Noida and Delhi hence posting it here.

Tell r/Newdelhi 🗣️ Got swindled out of 32lakhs!!

I just got swindled out of 32 lakhs and I have no way of recovering that money.

A bit of back story. This guy was a close friend and also one of my best friend’s cousins. He owns a live music venue in Delhi! I used to frequent his bar quite a lot and loved the place. After Covid he was a lot in debt, and didn’t have money to restart the bar. I felt bad coz Covid was a tough time for us all and him being a close friend and also my friend’s cousin, I decided to give him the money to get his bar going again. He said he would pay me back in 2 years. That time I had some extra cash lying around and didn’t think too much about it. The biggest mistake I made is giving him the money without any paperwork and trusting him. Just a bank transfer to show for.

2 years passed and he’s like bro give me some more time, my bar is picking up but still not making that kind of money. Next year he said the same thing. Then next year the same. Finally this year, the 6th year, I told him I need it by the end of the year, I’m done waiting and he agreed to pay back within the year. When I called him up this month, he said sorry I can’t pay you back anything, you do what you want. Then stopped answering my calls.

Every time I’ve been to his bar in the last 3 years it’s always been full. Even on a weekday they have lots of customers. Still he’s doing this.

I spoke to my all my friends to try and convince him to pay it back and also his family that I knew a little. And he just straight up refuses.

I spoke to a lawyer and they said because the loan is over 3 years old there is no legal way to recover since I don’t have any other paperwork either.

I’m stuck now. Have really needed the money past 2-3 years and even now but have no way of recovering.

I know it’s my mistake for not doing due diligence and all paperwork, and also trusting someone out of the kindness of my heart! Hard lesson learned!!

Rant / Vent The cost of casually sleeping around that people don't account for...

So I moved to Delhi recently and I used reddit to look for flatmates but rather I had some strange experiences.

People asking for sexual favours in return lol.

Unpopular opinion but I don't find stud life as exciting as others. Rather a complete turn off.

I just get grossed out by even the idea of casual sex. How can you be so fickle to open up so intimately with a person you don't know too well...?

Ask r/NewDelhi 🗣️ I’m under ₹25,00,000 of debt

I’m under ₹25 lakhs in debt, and honestly, I don’t know how to carry this anymore.

I never imagined I would be writing something like this on Reddit.

I’m under ₹25,00,000 of debt.

For a long time, I kept telling myself that I would figure it out. That I just needed a little more time, a better month, a better opportunity, one thing to go right.

But somehow, the debt kept growing, and the pressure kept getting heavier.

I wake up thinking about money.

I go to sleep thinking about money.

Every payment, every due date, every call, every message keeps running through my head. Even when I’m doing something completely unrelated, there’s this constant voice in the back of my mind asking, “How are you going to get out of this?”

And I’m at a point where I can feel the stress affecting me physically too. My body is exhausted. My mind doesn't switch off. I don't feel like myself anymore.

The hardest part isn't even the money.

It's the feeling of being trapped.

I’m not posting this because I expect strangers on Reddit to magically pay ₹25 lakhs of my debt. I know how that sounds, and I know everyone has their own struggles.

I'm posting because I genuinely need help figuring out a way forward.

If you've ever been in serious debt and managed to come out of it, I would be incredibly grateful if you could tell me how you did it.

If you know of legitimate ways to earn extra income, freelance work, remote work, small businesses, side hustles, or anything that could realistically help someone increase their income and attack their debt, please tell me.

If you have experience negotiating loans, restructuring debt, dealing with creditors, or making a plan when everything feels impossible, I could really use that knowledge too.

And if there's anyone here who has been where I am right now and somehow made it out, please tell me that it is possible.

I don't want sympathy.

I don't want anyone to feel obligated to give me money.

I just don't want to fight this completely alone anymore.

I’m still trying.

I still want to get out of this.

I still want to wake up one day without the first thought in my head being debt.

So I'm asking the Reddit family:

Please help me find a way out.

Even if all you can offer is advice, an opportunity, a lead, a lesson from your own experience, or simply a little hope — it would mean more to me than you probably realize.

I know ₹25 lakhs is a huge number.

But I’m hoping my life doesn't have to be defined by that number forever.

I just need a starting point.

After working the whole day, finally got some time to play some game.

Was so excited about NBA2K27 this year, so got it early even though don't get much time. This game is solid.

Haven't seen much NBA game fans here.

Any NBA fan here?

Rant / Vent I got creeped the fuck out today

it feels just so horrible, today i didnt sleep whole night and went for a walk around 5:30 AM and mind u it is a very posh area of delhi and a random guy asked me ki if there is a panwadi shop nearby.

I was like no, I'm finding it too, and then he said something regarding cigarettes and asked if I drink and said we should go together.

I felt so creeped out and just went away from there, and then I met another uncle and idk why the fuck did I ask him, but I asked him if this area is safe or not. And then that guy came again, bringing me a pack of cigarettes for some reason

And idk, it made me scared as fuckk and i ran away and called my mom crying and she said ,I told u delhi is unsafe and not go out at this time

And I don't know, it feels horrible man. It just felt so unsafe and idk, it wasn't even something major but it just feels horrible. I feel like crying so much, I just feel so vulnerable.

I feel lowkey blessed that im in a women's college and dont have to face men everyday

दिल्ली मेट्रो Was waiting for the metro yesterday… and noticed the cutest kind of couple goals 😂❤️

Yesterday, while waiting for the metro in Delhi, I happened to notice this couple standing in front of me.

At first, nothing seemed unusual.

Then I looked a little closer… they were wearing almost the exact same floral design! 😂❤️

Same colours. Same kind of print. Completely different outfits — but somehow they looked perfectly coordinated.

And that's when I thought… maybe couple goals aren't always about matching outfits intentionally or making grand romantic gestures.

Sometimes you've just been together for so long that even your fashion choices start syncing without you realising it. 😄

It was such a small, random moment in the middle of a busy Delhi day, but honestly, it made me smile.

Now I'm curious — what do you guys think?

Is this peak couple goals, a hilarious coincidence, or just proof that couples eventually start dressing alike? 😂

Ask r/NewDelhi 🗣️ Looking to Learn Real Estate from an Experienced Property Dealer/Builder in Delhi

Hey everyone,

I’m planning to start my own real estate development business in the future, and I want to get some hands-on experience before jumping into it.

I’m looking for an experienced local property dealer/builder in Delhi/NCR who would be willing to let me work with them for 3–6 months and learn the business from the ground up.

I’m especially interested in learning about:

• Property dealing & site visits

• Documentation and basic legal procedures

• Client handling & negotiations

• Property registration and paperwork

• Construction/project coordination

• How deals and transactions actually work

My main goal is practical knowledge and experience. I’m willing to start from the basics, work hard, and genuinely contribute wherever I can.

If you’re a property dealer/builder or know someone experienced who might be open to this, please DM me. I’d really appreciate the opportunity to learn.

Rant / Vent 21F Moving to Delhi in a week need 'Girl' friends to explore the city with...( Can verify)

Hey everyone....

I’m typing this with a mix of nerves and excitement. I’m moving to Delhi in about a week and I desperately need to rebuild my social circle from the ground up.

To be totally transparent, the last couple of years were a total mess. I spent them stuck at home during drop years, completely isolated myself and ended up losing all my old friends along the way. It took a massive toll on my mental health. I’m 21 and joining a random, tier 69 college this year...mostly just to force myself out of the house, get human interaction again, and heal while I figure out my next exam prep to change my stream.

I’m not actually an introvert tho I love talking, sharing laughs, and connecting with people. I just went through a dark patch, shut the world out, and stayed in one place for too long. But now I’m ready to open back up and give a safe, comforting shoulder to anyone who needs it.

So if you're a girl looking for something similar or just need a friend who'll show up when you need hmu... The idea is...

We hype each other up when we look cute instead of feeling secretly envious.

We go on random street food runs, check out cool spots and try out fun weekend ideas.

There’s zero backbiting or weird competition.

I’m super non judgmental!! If you’re a girl, gay, or anywhere under the queer spectrum, my DMs are wide open to you. Straight guys, please kindly skip this post. (Also, don't mind the account age I've just been a silent lurker on Reddit for years, but I’m finally putting myself out there).

If you’re down to adopt a new friend in the city or just chat, send me a message!!!

Ask r/NewDelhi 🗣️ Are there any laser hair removal centers which are willing to remove hair from my private parts?

I am a guy and want to get my leg, pubic and butt hair permanently removed as trimming is weekly chore and I dont want extra work on myself. I want a permanent solution so keen on getting hair removed via laser/electrolysis.

Please suggest some non-judgemental clinics where the operator is willing to remove hair from my private parts

Thanks
