Generally speaking, as long as you make it clear that you and your community aren't officially linked to the actual owner/creator, i think you should be in the clear

Hey uhh, I've heard about the project in owomushi's and the Pico neo 2 community...
I guess you are fine, r/PicoXR used to be unofficial but became official, old mod wasn't active and there was a reddit request in order to get taken by Pico staff...
I'd just put a pinned warning and in the subreddit's description a mention in caps calling it what it is, an unoficial community...
