All religions contain hipocracy, some are worse than others, but I know which religion I would choose if I wanted to keep slaves and fxxx children impose taxes on other religions and have an excuse to kill people who said bad things about my God because I'd have laws written into my religion that I could then force onto everyone and that law would allow me to control women and kill anyone who wants to leave my religion and you cannot say anything against me because that's blasphemy and bigotry

Early Islam is wild. It's a religion that's deeply rooted in conquest. Even the earliest parts like Mecca becoming the holy land was via conquest.

The best way to put it: imagine Jesus and his disciples were raising armies, conquering cities, forcing conversion to Christianity under the threat of execution, and Jesus was taking war brides/children as his wives.

Christianity is fucked in its own ways, but Islam is 100x worse in almost every aspect.

So not much has changed then since 600 AD Islam isn't any different now especially with what's happening with certain countries in Africa

Well yes, because Islam is extremely fundamentalist by the nature of how it was written very literally. Even all these centuries later it's taken as a clear and concise statements by the prophet. This is why so many Islamic majority countries seem archaic and an anti-thesis to the modern west.

Christianity on the other hand has gone through reformations and modernization, plus the batshit crazy first half of the bible was basically made null by the more moderate second half. Hasidic Jews would be the closest example of stone age judeo, as a decent chunk of the beliefs derived from the old testement books.

Zoroastrianism is one of the few religions I'm interested in or good old fashioned paganism and the worship of nature and mother earth, most religions that would be considered modern are just fucked up though at least things like Christianity try to change for the better,

though sometimes I really wish the great Cthulu was real, a good dose of realising just how insignificant their religion is along with themselves and their God would be just the medicine some people need

The blind hypocrisy is almost amusing. It's always Christians running these arguments, with no sense that all the arguments apply equally to Christianity.

If you are the prophet for all times then your actions should apply for all times

The amount of things in the bible that we're supposed to ignore because it was a different time. Like the slaughter of the Midianites. If you are the God for all times then your actions should apply for all times

Same with the slaughter of all Amalekites, including women and children

Did someone tell you to ignore things in the Bible?

The bible is chock full of hypocritical nonsense - following any aspect of it inherently means ignoring other parts.

Brothers and sisters, the weak fall victim to well-practiced religious charlatans! We must be wary! Now, listen closely my flock as I recite my bigoted bullshit and convince you it’s wisdom.

Sounds exactly like every religion. All the other religions are wrong, but not ours. Only ours is right. Yeah, sure mate.

the voice of reason is so sweet if only it wasn't revealing something so horrifically ugly.
