What do we call this faction in the setting? Gavin's men would give it away.

Also I provided unit cards, because why not? Do you think the men should be fanatic and how many of them should be so?

What do we think about how Sparky thinks the draft needs to come back? I don't recall if he said it was to like, give me pride, or prevent wars by making them unpopular, or something about widening the military class to include regular ass people.

I might be remembering this whole book I had to read in American Military History 101.

Should I make some national guardsmen or draftees?

TLDR: I have had my players fighting with and alongside NPCs who are run as if Mike Sparks is their leader and all his ideas are doctrine. Anything he likes is adopted and anything he dislikes is dumped out of the military.

We have the iconic MGs, where it's a 2-in-1 post because these two are actually, by definition, the same gun, the difference really being the ammo that it's chambered in.

On Slide 1 we have Hitler's Buzzsaw known as the MG-42, where historically it held one of the titles of the fastest fire rate for a machine gun, At around 1200 RPM, now that has been surpassed by the General Electric M134 Minigun where that one goes at a fire rate of 6000 RPM.

Slide 2, where we feature the flair! The Rheinmetal! MG3 Machine Gun, where I also hid a lyric to a song by Pendulum and Plan B; if you have played Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, chances are you might recognize the lyrics.

Now what to say about these guns?

They were historically significant because they helped sort of influence machine gun technology and gave crew-operated ones a certain degree of purpose.

While in WW2, Germany was known for using these, there was another group who loved them, and they even cloned it and wrote a song about it! Yugoslavian Partisans!

In fact, that song is known as "Mitralieza," where it literally talks about wanting to have sex with the machine gun and wanting to marry the machine gun too. The Yugoslavians loved it so much that they made their own unlicensed clone called the Zastava M53 Machine Gun. The Yugoslavians are very well known for reverse engineering and turning guns into abominations that outperform their predecessors; see, for example, the M70 Yugo AKs that were completely unlicensed and built from defectors' rifles.

TRUE and REAL

Drone defense is a problem with how many drones can get slung at any given target.

Bradleys are available, we have a bunch in storage. We can modify the turret and troop compartment space to increase air defense capacity.

Proximity fuses were mass produced for WW2, and worked too well sometimes, as they occasionally blew up birds. We can make them better with today's tech to kill drones. Vampire launchers are also cheap per shot compared to many other missile interceptors, and are laser guided, so good luck jamming them.

Bradley guns have 2 feeds, so you can load proximity fused shells in one side, and bird shot into the other to give the crew options. #4 shot is slightly bigger than 5.56 bullets, and you only need a few hits to take a drone down. Shot is also cheap. The cannon will have to be smoothbore, but smoothbores work just fine.

Ukraine has proven that acoustic drone detection works. If you can have the Bradley running on batteries or quietly, we can use it passively and reduce detection risk. The radar systems have already been used on Bradleys before. You can turn the radar off as you need too if Homing Anti Radiation Missiles are in use by the enemy. You can also mount more cameras and use basic AI to track drones passively in visual range.

*Christmas light shortage references the glass bulbs needed for the proximity fuses/shells in WW2. Because so many were needed, Christmas lights just weren't made for part of the war.

*I also forgot to include the optical sensors in the mockup. Don't sue me, I have no money.
