Hi there!

We just purchased a cottage near the mouth of South River and have had luck catching smallies, jumbo perch, and pike on Lake Nip. We've been trying to target walleye around the 15-20ft mark; however, no results yet.

Anyone from the area have any recommendations on where to target these fish, preferably using jigs? Not looking for any top secret spots haha, but general recommendations or tips and tricks! We do have a depth finder, but haven't picked up on any schools of 'em just yet.

Hi! I’m a 22F student who just moved for teachers college today! I’m from London, and I moved in with roommates! I think it could easily be nerves, homesickness and just overall anxiety but I find it to be a little sparse and dreary here. I like smaller towns and lived in smaller areas besides london, but I want to find places to enjoy and go to during the day besides campus so I can start to enjoy the city. Most people adore it during summer but I of course am going to be here mostly during the winter! I really want to love and adore north bay and i LOVE outdoor activities but i know the turn of the weather is coming soon and it’ll be hard to do anything. I would love some help from people who have lived here for a while, because Im getting scared about how Im going to enjoy my time here, because I already know Im going to have natural anxieties but I want to try to minimize it as much as I can! So, anything that people love about north bay or areas or even small cafes or bookstores etc they love, would be so helpful! thank you so much!

Girlfriend drove hours to spend the weekend with me. She has booked a hotel room which is sub par and kind of bad. Her booking is non refundable. Should I book another hotel for us eventhough she will be out hundreds of dollars. Everytime I bring up the idea she gets anxious about it.

Hey everybody, I'm looking for something fun to do around September 26/26 with my partner either in North Bay or up to approximately an hour out. I was looking at Deerhurst Resort in Muskoka but it's booked. Just general ideas for those cool experiences of either food or fun that are off the beaten path.We've done almost everything in North Bay proper, but maybe there's still some secrets hiding..

Does anyone know if there will be a rec league starting at the new arena? Or how to start one? Surely there are enough men and women who want to play recreationally a few times a week.

Hello again, North Bay subreddit. I figured every Friday I'll make a post about the new series I've acquired over the week so as not to post so often that I'm annoying folks.

This week, we've got some romance with The Heiress an the Chauffeur and Romantic Killer.

I've also got in the latest issues in both RuriDragon (#4) and Spy x Family (#16).

And just today I got the (almost) complete Sailor Moon Eternal Edition (volumes 2 and 4 are on back order) and the complete light novel series of Vampire Hunter D.

I’m heading into my first year of the bED program at nipissing. I was wondering if there are any places that hold trivia throughout the week that would be good to check out. Also I was wondering if anyone on the group would know about nightlife for university students. Like what are the places and the days that are popular. Any help would be much appreciated!!

Earlier in her post she had proposed protections for our forests and wildlife, which sounded great! Unfortunately it was quickly followed by suggestions that developers must have lived here for x amount of time, and a little conspiracy about the North Bay government purposefully poisoning our water.

Hey, I moved to North Bay recently and am looking for a small space (outbuilding/unused garage/whatever) to use as a workshop. I live in an apartment now and don't have any room. Would be doing woodworking and some engine repair stuff primarily. Not sure what options are for that around here or if someone might know someone with a space or have an idea of what to look into.
