I was really hoping for a native app on Windows, this is a bit of a bummer. The app is quite feature-complete on Windows, but one can notice that simple interactions like zooming with fingers or drawing ink is a bit slow?

I usually compare the experience to the Windows Snipping Tool since that feels really snappy. I hope this can be tackled in the future, I love my Surface Laptop Studio and simply want a note-taking app that feels good on my laptop!

I already have Notability Lite and use it on my iPad and its night and day using it there.

What are your guys thoughts on the Windows version?

We know many of you have recently been logged out, temporarily locked out of your account, or had trouble resetting your password. We’re sorry. We understand how frustrating it is to have trouble accessing your notes, and we want to explain what’s happening.

What’s happening?
An automated program is trying combinations of email addresses and passwords that were exposed in breaches of other services. We have no evidence that our systems were breached. However, to protect your notes and accounts, we logged many people out as a precaution.

These attempts target password-based sign-ins. If you only sign in using a magic link, Google, Apple, or Microsoft, no action is needed.

Why is my account locked?
We temporarily lock an account after too many incorrect password attempts in a short period. The lock lasts 15 minutes and is not permanent. Although we blocked the heaviest automated activity, attempts are continuing at a low rate. As a result, some people may continue to see temporary lock notices. Please wait 15 minutes before trying again.

Why do I see “Unknown Error” on the password reset page?
Please wait a few minutes and try again. We’re sorry that the error message isn’t more helpful. If you’re still having trouble after a few tries, please send u/kaylanotability a DM, or contact our support team, including the email associated with your account.

What can I do to protect my account?
If you sign in with a password, make sure it’s unique and isn’t used for any other account. If you’ve reused your Notability password elsewhere, we recommend changing it.

notability keeps crashing on my fold 8 ultra when I try to use the app outside the folder like opening settings or viewing my folders

I tried to clear cache and also reinstall it but didn't work.

Note that I tried to open it with other ios devices I have and worked on them pretty good.

I don’t have a lot of apps on my iPad but I do have a lot of storage in notability and I don’t want to delete any important notes.

Is the pro subscription supposed to give you pro on android as well? Or does that require a separate subscription. I have and s25ultra that is easier to carry around sometimes, but i mainly take notes on my ipad.

I updated my app and notice there no more subject buttons and it was really helpful when organizing my folders. I would have a folder for a semester and within that folder I would have multiple subjects for my classes. Please bring back the option to choose between subjects and folders!!!

I’m a surgical technician student and I take most of my notes here since I use the ai features. I last used it Saturday and I came in today. I was logged out. I logged in and ALL my notes are gone. I rely heavily on all of them and it’s really frustrating because this isn’t the first time this has happened. I have iCloud sync and backup on and there’s NOTHING. I tried to submit a ticket and I got a message that I need to wait. Some notes from a few months ago loaded in after like 30 minutes, but the color of the notes and everything got inverted. What’s going on? I pay for plus and I’m kind of disappointed that this happened.

I am seriously considering other apps because there is NO ability to turn this off, or even remove it!

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD bring back the old 20 question quizzes instead of this 100 question junk. It was also nice being able to go through 200 questions, 20 questions at a time. Why fix something that’s not broken? My app is so laggy right now and even when I do try to take a quiz, sometimes it won’t even let me on the “practice” tab bc it states that there isn’t enough material when there is MORE THAN ENOUGH!! 2 hours worth of lecture to be exact both Recording and notes!! Bring back the old features I beg of you and fix these weird glitches and bugs 😞

I am currently a student and have lectures uploaded to Brightspace. I've built a Claude skill that is able to pull all my lectures off Brightspace, sort them into a Google Drive folder, rename them to my proper naming convention, and update a Google sheet to help me keep track of them. The last part of this pipeline I want to build out is automatically moving my lectures into folders on Notability. I understand that I can hold down the New button and import from Google Drive, but if there were a way I could have Claude directly create new folders in Notability and import the files automatically, that would be wonderful.

Hi everyone, has anyone had problems trying to copy a slide and paste it into a different app ie google docs. Ive been having to screenshot slides which is getting annoying and time consuming. if anyone has had this issue and resolved it id appreciate your input.

I have led many online products at scale and learned many hard lessons. Support ops for any product that has an online component is a 24/7 job. It is not optional. I have taken calls Christmas morning because we had live site issues? Why? Because we had an online product used worldwide. Part of the deal.

That I have been unable to get to my notes for more than 24 hours without a single comment or post from notability to explain what is going on tells me the company is out of the office and nobody has the wheel. It’s ridiculous.

I can’t sign in. I can’t change my password. I can’t get my notes.

I’ve learned something valuable about the company this weekend and whether or not they are to be trusted with my money and my notes.

I opened the app and it had me login, which was odd, but I did and now it only has notes from May 2026 and prior, but nothing after that. What is going on with this app?

This app is actual rage bait because they keep changing things that do not need to be changed. I opened my app because my semester starts tomorrow and I wanted to get a head start on my lecture notes. First, it forced me to get on Notability cloud which is whatever, butttt why would they change the default templates to make the lines darker and thicker? I have a before and after photo of what it was like before and what it’s like now. Does anyone know if I can change the size and color of the dots because even though it’s small it’s really bugging me 🙃

When I copy text from Google/websites and paste it into my Notability notes, it always gets pasted in a different format, usually Times New Roman, size 12 and bold.

Is there a way to make pasted text automatically match the font, font size and style I’m currently using in my Notability note?

Do not press sign in with google. press sign in with email and then i got a email to sign in so i think it is starting to work now

First, I had login issues. Now, all of my notes are gone. It’s nearly impossible to get any help from Notability support, and I’ve lost years of work despite having cloud sync enabled.

If our files can simply disappear like this, what is the point of cloud sync?

Hundreds of users are raising the same concerns on Reddit and Twitter, yet Notability has not even acknowledged that there may be an issue on their end. They need to address this immediately and recover the missing notes.

I've asked about this four times now. I'm starting a new semester, and I currently have 300 recordings all named "Recording 1." I AM LITERALLY BEGGING! Please bring this feature back, it's so difficult working without this feature, and it would be greatly appreciated if you bring it back. Please don't ignore this. I've sent emails and they say there's nothing they can do, but I truly feel like you can. Please fix this, please update it to where users (myself included) can rename the recordings, please and thank you !!!!!!
