First year nursing students, how are we feeling?

I’m on day two of our first-year program and taking a study break. I was not expecting the volume of online websites, passwords, and codes to memorize for the first week. I’m used to traditional college classes and it’s a lot to keep track of. The studying itself is not that bad. But memorizing everything to check online is. How are you holding up and what strategies are you using to stay organized as we start our school year?

CA - Is it better to do ADN or LPN to RN route?

Hi there! TYIA for your input. I live in Los Angeles, am 40 years old, and thinking about going back to school for nursing. I have heard about different pathways, and wanted to get your thoughts on which is better, and why :)

ADN is notoriously hard to get in around Los Angeles, and has wait lists that span a few years, and private school is 80-100k. I was thinking of doing private school so I could get in and start working, rather than being wait listed.

I have also heard LPN is the better route, start working, and employer usually pays for bridge program, and gets you preferential placement for RN program.

Thank you again for your thoughts :)
