Today’s OMAD

A beige meal today! 😂 No-sugar shredded wheat with a protein shake and peaches, pâté chinois (sad, no paprika), leftover bone broth vegetable soup and brown rice with a serving of cream.

Comes out to ~1,300 rounded up. Considering a small treat or serving of homemade boiled peanuts shortly, but we’ll see.

Looking forward to grocery shopping and getting some green veggies and fresh fruit, but for now I will use the canned options we have!

Also, this is a meal using almost all food pantry items. The only items not from the pantry were the protein powder for the shake and the splash of cream in the soup. Just wanted to throw that out there in the event anyone needs some ideas for getting creative with what you have! Grateful to have the help in a financially tight season.

A protein shake with banana, seltzer water, pesto brown rice, an egg, 3.25 chicken tenders, sugar-free bbq, bone broth vegetable soup with a splash of cream.

~1,500 calories (rounded up)

Only ate half of my soup, which saved me some calories. Probably about to eat a cup of homemade boiled peanuts.

Currently doing 1 month of OMAD (800-1000 cal a day)

Hi,

Me:
F:20+
Height: 183cm (~6 ft)
Weight before OMAD: 96 kg
Weight currently: 92 kg
Weight Goal: 75
———————-
Today is my 7th day of OMAD and I just wanted to share my experience with others who are fasting as well at the moment.

I started on Monday and it is currently Sunday afternoon.

Pros/tipps:
- I have lost 4 KG (~9 lbs). Almost gave up until I saw how fast the results are. And yes, I know most of it is water.
- My stomach has less pain, as I am no longer binging.
- I eat my meals at 18:00 -19:00 (6-7 pm). Usually espresso gets me through the day.
- Tea after a meal helps reduce waking up at night to eat.
- during days off I find hobbies to kill time or I will go crazy.
- I set my goal to 800 cal a day but I won’t punish myself if it pushes to 1000.
- Appreciation of food and less food waste
- BEST PART: Save money! I used to spend all my money on food and I was actually able to put some in my savings acc. For once again!
- watching disgusting mukbangs lessens hungery

Cons:
- I constantly think about eating when I have nothing else to do. When I’m at work/school I barely notice anything but as soon as my 2 days off started, I was honestly really struggling to not accidentally eat something. On day 6 I accidentally ate two lemon Juice Vesicles after making lemon water.
- watching friends/colleagues eat during lunch.
- All of a sudden food is everywhere and everyday it’s more tempting…
- Thinking of calories every second.

Take it or not… even if it felt easy in the beginning, the body will need to get used to it so hard times will come. I am currently on my period, making this 10* harder but I amnso proud of myself for getting through this on my own without help. It really helped me with self discipline.
If I made it through my period then the rest will be easy!

Pls share your struggles, i have no one to talk about because I know they would judge me.

<3

Zero legitimate reason why this earlier post should be removed.
🤯
Isn’t this sub about sharing with others so we can all get meal ideas & encouragement?

Might need to start my own OMAD sub, where everyone is welcome.

I likely won’t finish this entire steak, but this meal will fill me up until tomorrow. Happy OMAD!

Lost my energy and irritable..

Currently on day 11 of OMAD! I’ve gone from 179 to 177.0 lbs, so I think that’s a good sign that I’m at least in a calorie deficit

I’ve been eating around 1,200–1,300 calories a day and getting 8,000+ steps a day.

The only issue I’m having is I feel SO exhausted 😭 No headaches or stomach issues, just really tired and sometimes irritable.

For anyone who’s done OMAD, is this normal during the first couple of weeks? Did your energy eventually level out?

Progress of OMAD Since April

Tbf, I do have some light caloric bevs in the day (coco water, body armor lite, kombucha, Celsius) but I am quite amazed at these results. Also stacked up on supplements in the morning (b complex, magnesium, fish oil, then added CoQ10, maca and berberine).

I had previously gone from 210 to 180 from September to April but was having a light lunch and dinner. So I basically made the progress from the previous 6 months in 4 months. Also, sorry the first pic is super cropped, I had my feet in it lol.

if you had 1200 calories left for the night, how would you “spend” it?

It can be a meal or you can make it up from different things or add snacks. Let me know, I’m so curious!

3 huevos hervidos muchas verduras y una lata de atún de 300g sin el agua, y un poco de mayonesa
Creo que dá como 1200kcal pero está bien porque estoy en déficit y soy bajito

Protein shake with banana, cucumbers with Greek yogurt and protein ranch powder, miso rice and green beans, teriyaki chicken, whole grain toast, egg, Pikachu lemon donut.

Not pictured: some chips and three donut holes

A bit of a treat meal today since we picked up 30th anniversary Pokémon donuts!

~1,650 calories. Rounded up, so it may be less and I ended up not finishing my rice.

I hit my first Goal

Post image
1.5k Upvotes

I started OMAD on May 22nd. I’ve dabbled with intermittent fasting in the past and decided screw it its time to go all in and get this fat off.

SW181 lbs
CW 160lbs
GW 125lbs

My meal is mid day I don’t track calorie intake. I focus on protein, fiber, healthy fats and complex carbs. If I’m craving something I have it. It makes this so much easier because I don’t have to worry about what I can or can’t eat. My motto is delay don’t deny.

I also work out everyday cardio and strength training to not only keep the muscle I have but to add onto it and I do a minimum of 10k steps just by walking my dogs and just daily life. I’ve been making sure to be outside in the sun in the nude for about 16 min a day 8 min on both sides because the sun is so good for my skin and my overall mood. It’s beneficial when it comes to Cortisol ( worth looking into)

I’m
Averaging about 2 pounds a week which I’m happy with . I hope to hit my goal weight my the end of October but I’m ok with it taking longer.

Starting weight was 181 lbs
Current weight is 163 lbs
Goal weight is 125 lbs

My favorite thing ppl tell me when i mention OMAD in other groups is that I can’t work out or if I do I won’t see any gains or won’t be able to build muscle. That I can’t get in enough protein in my one meal to make an significant difference . Lmao ya sure Susan 🤭😂
